Lorenzo Cain, MVP. In his post-game interview: Thanks God, thanks his momma, thanks his wife. Hosmer, Gordon, Shields, Perez, Holland, Escobar ... all thank God in their post-game interviews. What a witness!

Cain, in accepting his MVP trophy, reveals for the first time that his mom had to work two jobs to support the family and he couldn't play organized sports until he was a sophomore in high school. Says it is "God's grace" that allowed him to play, to get to this point, to get this team where it it.

I'm not ashamed to admit, he and the other guys on this club had me bawling like a baby ... an amazing collection of young men, a wonderful blessing to our city. And God is glorified!! What more could one ask??

My wife grew up in Crystal, lived there til she was 14 ... never shed her Twins fandom ... Until this summer!

She's a nurse at a NICU unit ... been wearing the Hosmer or the Perez jerseys I got her every game day she's worked.
