Seems logical that Putin would use him.....maybe the old KGB way.

I agree. Nothing happens in Russia without Putin's consent. Snowden is trapped for life in Russia, in case that he ever changes his mind. When he ceases to be useful, he will end up in the grinding poverty of a totalitarian economy.

Putin used to work in the Lubyanka Building, the old prison building in Moscow where they executed so many people in the basement that they had sloped concrete floors with drains so that they could just turn the water on it to clean up the mess.
