Dems' final insult: Landrieu crushed

In the final insult of a devastating 2014 election for Democrats, Sen. Mary Landrieu, the party’s last remaining statewide officeholder from the Deep South, was trounced Saturday in the head-to-head Louisiana Senate runoff election.
Republican Bill Cassidy’s resounding victory is the ninth Senate seat picked up by the GOP in this year’s elections, three more than the party needed to take control of the chamber. With nearly all the ballots counted, Cassidy led Landrieu by 14 points, 57 percent to 43 percent.

I reluctantly pressed the button for Bill Cassidy yesterday. I really didn't want to. I could not, however, in good conscience vote for Mary. I never have and she needed to be gone.

However, he's no better. It's already been proved since the last election that he is no more ethical than she is. It's just that no one wants to touch his payroll fraud and double dipping at the LSU extension.

Everyone is so gung-ho to get Mary out and that they are blinded to the fact that we are sweeping out the trash from one door and sweeping IN the trash from another door.

Our floor is still filthy in my opinion.

We shall see.

I only hope I can come back and say I was wrong. But the cynic in me (she's a bossy thing!) has me wary.

Seems like Louisiana has always had a problem with dirty politicians.
