Obamacare Repeal Would Swell The Deficit Even Using GOP's New Math, Budget Office Say

GOP economist says what the GOP does not want to hear.

The economist that Republicans handpicked to run the Congressional Budget Office just told Republicans that one of their favorite arguments about Obamacare is wrong.

According to a report the CBO released Friday, repealing the Affordable Care Act wouldn't reduce the deficit, as Republicans have long claimed. It would increase the deficit, by at least $137 billion over 10 years and maybe a lot more than that -- with the effects getting bigger over time.

Of course, that’s in addition to the effect repeal would have on the number of Americans without health insurance. The CBO says the ranks of the uninsured would increase by 19 million people next year.

The reality is they don't have a clue.

Premiums were supposed to go down. They went up. I met people everyday who have $3000, $5000 and $9000 spend downs before their affordable healthcare pays for a Bandaid.

The cost of Obamacare could rise for millions of Americans next year, with one insurer proposing a 50 percent hike in premiums, fueling the controversy about just how “affordable” the Affordable Care Act really is.
The eye-popping 50 percent hike by New Mexico insurer Blue Cross Blue Shield is an outlier, and state officials may not allow it to go through. But health insurance experts are predicting that premiums will rise more significantly in 2016 than in the first two years of Obamacare exchange coverage.

But, but, but....if they didn't pass this well-studied, tightly-written bill, then their premiums would have been even higher and their deductibles would have been $35,000.00.

Hilarious how when someone whines about Obeymecare's cost to its victims, the apologists say "well, insurance would have been even more had the ACA not been passed."
