Not very useful for a church that I can tell. I've never known a church to take attendance (beyond a small church taking Sunday school attendance.).

I think it could be useful in school situations where attendance is necessary.

Yeah be a good way to get the kids acquainted with Big Brother before they know who and what he is really there for.
