Washington (CNN)The White House on Wednesday released a presidential directive that will allow the government to communicate and negotiate with terrorist groups holding Americans hostage.

"We must do better," President Barack Obama said in a White House address Wednesday afternoon after the release of the policy changes.

Officials will now be allowed to talk to those terror groups and discuss ways to secure the Americans' release, though the government will maintain its policy of making "no concessions" to captors.

What an idiot. There's no doubt in my mind that the government has negotiated with terrorists. Still, to come right out and say "we approve of negotiations with terrorists" will likely embolden more terrorists to commit more terrorist acts of kidnapping. This guy is a moron.

If you were a hostage would you want your government to attempt to secure your release via negotiations or simply forget about you?

I would want my government to mount a military rescue operation.

So you would want other American sons and daughters lives to be put in danger for saving you ... instead of negotiating. Is that right?

Yep. I get free and the terrorists are dead. My kind of outcome.

Obama is a liar. He has already made concessions to terrorist groups.
