4th of July and ISIS

I feel safer thousands of miles from the US Mainland.

ISIS overshadows just about everything out there --even the SC ruling on marriage and the real 43% unemployment rate.

If ISIS is not stopped in its tracks...

Let's remember that had we not invaded Iraq, there would be no ISIS and the Christian population in Iraq would not be near extinction. Until we begin repenting, not much hope for this land.

That is faulty thinking. You can look at that the other direction as well. If we had not invaded Iraq then maybe there would be something worse we would be dealing with compared to ISIS.

Booga booga booga.

The terrorists that Obama and Congress have been funding and arming are out to get you again.

Be SCARED! AAAAAAHHHHH!

For more than a week the federal government has warned of a terror attack over the holiday despite no credible threat beyond attacks in France, Tunisia and Kuwait.

Regardless, last Friday the FBI and Department of Homeland Security issued a bulletin warning of attacks against law enforcement officers and the military.

“There is no specific, credible intelligence to indicate any threats against celebrations over the Fourth of July weekend,” said a Homeland Security Department official. “However, we have seen repeatedly calls for violence over the past year by leadership and supporters of (ISIS) against members of the military and military installations, law enforcement, the U.S. government, and the American public. These threats are always taken seriously and we continue to work with state and local law enforcement to ensure their safety.”

Ah what's the use. You guys love to be frightened more than being free.

Celebrate your fear instead of your independence this year because you let the fear-mongers steal your independence.

God rest the brave souls who died so you all can be free to be scared out of everything they fought for.

No credible threat of attacks, except for actual attacks in various places. You made my eye twitch!

I’m about to witness my 61st “Independence Day” in the US Collective. And all I see forthcoming is still another celebration of failure, still another empty gesture from clueless citizen/slaves who have no independence.

The supposed “independence” noted and celebrated is recorded in the document known as The Declaration of Independence. Those enslaved by a king at that time, declared themselves subjects instead to some, as yet, undefined government master (later to be defined as a “republic”). The document rails about such worthy goals as equality among men, inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and government operating only at the consent of the governed.

But when present day loyalists view their present day reality through their star spangled eyes, do they see the ultimate achievement of these documented goals?

Once the hot dogs and beer are digested and the fireworks smoke clears, what do they have? Freedom? Independence? Liberty? Quite the contrary.

What they in reality have is a multi-century, linear regression from a declaration of the sanctity of the natural rights of man and the glory of individualism to an annual affirmation of conformity, unquestioned loyalty, collective obedience, and the glorification of human sacrifice when committed in the name of the king.

And not the old king, but the new one.

What in reality they have is the unfortunate opportunity to witness a spectacular, historical failure. The institution created and charged with protecting those declared, natural rights has instead morphed into the greatest threat toward their weakening and eventual abolition. Words on parchment outlining law, custom and structure regarding such an institution have been proven impotent to restrain the growth of a predator so large and menacing, that it not only threatens complete evisceration of individual wealth and liberties within its declared territory, but also the lives, wealth, property, and security of people throughout the world.

Seeing that that such a large, powerful and centralized political structure is not only inadequate, but inherently dangerous toward the stated goal of preserving liberty, aware individuals can only view celebrating such a structure as utterly senseless.

And don't forget to be scared. Always be scared.

Booge booga booga. After all what could it hurt to give the government that's grinding this country into the ground more money, more power and more control to combat the terrorist hordes it created?

Gee that makes so much sense, doesn't it? Booga booga booga!

It's time to wake up. Or learn to love being slaves to our own fear.

Be scared or the terrorists Washington has been funding and arming will get you. Booga booga booga!

Be scared! Give the government more power!

Be scared! Give the government it's nationalized police force!

Be scared! Give the government more control over your lives! Let the government spy on everything you do!

Be scared! Give up the rest of your freedoms! Let the government stop and frisk you whenever it wants! Let the government put you in chains for what you believe in!

Be scared! Give up your children and their future to go overthrow other government's and arm terrorists to do the bidding of traitors to the very idea of liberty and freedom so many fought and died to defend.

Be scared! And go along with everything the government tells you do!

You can call that freedom if you like to make yourselves all feel better but it's not. It's slavery.

So this year do your patriotic duty and be scared again. Believe everything these lying authoritarians tell you. After all they're all just such honest people that make up this government and mass media. So what they lie about everything else and stir up trouble every chance they get?

They'd never lie about a terrorist threat to gain more power over you. Look at em all red white a blue. Look at how they dance in the blood of every victim of every crisis to gain more power and control over you. But never mind all that. They'd never lie about a terrorist threat.

Be scared! And give em what they want. Total control.

Happy Dependence Day.

Poncho, do you want to run for office? You have a lot of passion. It needs to be channelled.

Or do you just want to continue to work outside the system here on the BB? ;-)

Good grief, you're depressing me. This is the first time in the past few years that l felt like celebrating a bit - throwing off the concern for our quickly dissolving freedoms for a day and celebrating what remains.
And I even bought a star- spangled hat.
So come on - just for one day, celebrate that you could actually say what you just did. :) There are enough other days in the year.

But this day is a special one Gina.

On this day we get to celebrate being something we aren't. On this day we get to lie to ourselves again.

Yeah, I guess that's something to celebrate alright.

Actually if OBama had not pulled out of Iraq until it was secure and left an empty vacuum.

To all those who keep helping the government hype the terrorist threat it created.

The liberties of our Country, the freedom of our civil constitution are worth defending at all hazards: And it is our duty to defend them against all attacks.

We have receiv’d them as a fair Inheritance from our worthy Ancestors: They purchas’d them for us with toil and danger and expence of treasure and blood; and transmitted them to us with care and diligence.

It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation, enlightened as it is, if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle; or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men.

Of the latter we are in most danger at present: Let us therefore be aware of it. Let us contemplate our forefathers and posterity; and resolve to maintain the rights bequeath’d to us from the former, for the sake of the latter.

— Instead of sitting down satisfied with the efforts we have already made, which is the wish of our enemies, the necessity of the times, more than ever, calls for our utmost circumspection, deliberation, fortitude, and perseverance.

Let us remember that “if we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it, and involve others in our doom.” It is a very serious consideration, which should deeply impress our minds, that millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event. Samuel Adams
