A truck carrying bottled water made a wrong turn in Paoli, Indiana, a small town of less than four thousand in southern Indiana not far from the Ohio River.

The truck driver missed the Walmart delivery location and found herself on a street where she could not turn around. Not good at backing, she decided to go ahead and cross an 1880 bridge in spite of the sign indicating no trucks. The weight limit on the bridge was 6 tons but her semi weighed 60,000 pounds although she did not know how many tons that was.

Would it have even fit underneath? Yikes.

We have a local bridge that has it's own website:

Somebody lost her job. A Christmas she won't forget anytime soon. The good news for her, she Has New Year's off, now.

I would not be so quick to condemn her. Anyone can be 24 tons off their guess. *laugh*

When somebody is doing such a job they should be aware of what they are driving and what the restrictions are. There is no doubt she lost her job after this one. It was a costly mistake that would not be taken lightly.
