Obama has never been considered a good public speaker outside of the Democrat Party. His education before he went to an exclusive prep school in Hawaii was probably substandard although he probably spoke English, Arabic, and Bahasa Indonesia. He is an intellectual of sorts but without any particular moral grounding--a type of post-modernists perhaps. He does not want to reveal his true beliefs until his upcoming retirement from office and perhaps not then so we will never know.

When he addresses the nation, he is adequate. When he's working a press conference he's clumsy. When he works a big room he is very good. The clip by the OP shows an embarrassing glitch in his usual stellar campaign rally performances. The guy can really work a crowd. In my lifetime, only Bill Clinton and Reagan were better.
