    Rather rough language.

I watched that video on Facebook. Got to the part where they started lying, and shut it off.

They told the truth as they saw it, just as you do.

Did they? Show me where Trump said that women should expect to be raped for serving their country. Because that's what one woman in the video said that Trump said.

I'll give you a hint: he never said it. What he DID do was say that the brass was dumb for putting men and women in close quarters with each other, concerning the high rate of military sexual assault. He then said, "What did they expect to happen?" And he's right. You put men and women together in high tension situations, and it will happen. It shouldn't, I wish it wouldn't. But in the fallen world it will. It's sin, it's disgusting, it's wrong. But in a high stress situation, if you have men and women mixed, the probability of sexual assault rises drastically.

So, they took Trump's true words, and twisted them. They lied.

I said they told the truth as they see it. That may or may not be the truth as you or I see it. Trump seem ignorant to the fact that men also file complaints about being sexually assaulted.

The following Trump tweet is probably where they got their idea:

26,000 unreported sexual assaults in the military-only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?

This were tons of editorials on this after Trump's Tweet. "What did thises geniuses expect when they put men and women together?" says that when you put men and women together women are going to be sexually assaulted. To me it was more of an admission that is when he does when he is with a woman.

So in the final analysis, these women did not lie. They put their interpretation on what Trump said ... just as you did.

If I quote you, either I say what you said it I don't. If I attribute it to you, and it's not what you said, it's a lie. There's no "as I see it".

Going from what he said to what she said; there's no way to interpret that except as a lie. It was so far off from what he said, that she proved herself to be nothing more than a political tool, willing to use even her own bad circumstances to hurt someone.

There was no lie. There are differences in interpretation of what was said and what was meant.

"Crabtownboy said he supports abortion." Is that a lie? Because that's what I've inferred from your posts, and my interpretation. Honestly, it is. But I don't say it, because you deny it (kind of).

Same EXACT situation. There is no interpretation when one purposely misquotes or misattributed something to someone.

Sapper, I have never said I am in favor of abortion. Find a post where I said I was. Or, are you reverting to a lie others have posted. I have often said that I am opposed to abortion. I will accept an apology when you find you cannot find a post where I say I support abortion.

Yes, as you did in your first paragraph of this post.

You will find no apology forthcoming as I was saying that to prove a point. You reacted so defensively and negatively, yet you are ok when these women do the same thing to Trump. That was exactly my point. If it's OK for those women, then I can say what I said. It's the truth as I see it.

Or, on the other hand, it's not ok to do that, in which case those women were lying.

So, no. You won't be receiving an apology, as firstly, I was only making a point. And secondly, I'm sure no admission of wrongdoing will come from you concerning these women.

I will defend their right to their free speech and they saying what they believe. Because you do not agree with them does not make them liars.

Two things. First, do you not see the hypocrisy here? You demanded an apology because I said you said something you didn't. But it's OK for them?

Secondly, there is no "disagreement". They are lying not because I disagree. They are lying because they are not telling the truth. They said he said something. He didn't. He didn't even imply it.

That is your interpretation, but that does not make them liars .. nor does it make you a lair.

I don't understand why you're not getting this. There is no "interpretation". They said Trump said something. He didn't. Its not opinion, belief, interpretation, or anything like that.

They made a claim that is false. That's lying.

You don't get it. They were interpreting what he said into their own words. There were not liars, they were interpreting what he said.

They didn't say it was a paraphrase. They didn't say it was an inference. They said, "Trump said...". He didn't say it. That's called lying.
