Interesting times we live in when the US formally putting another country ON NOTICE is done in a 140 character or less tweet for all the world to see. None of this diplomats meeting in embassies, none of this calling the ambassador of the country to the White House for a lecture, no documents delivered by couriers. Just throw it on Twitter:

Republicans cheer Flynn putting Iran ‘on notice’


Congressional Republicans are cheering national security adviser Michael Flynn for putting Iran “on notice” Wednesday, marking a rare point of unity for lawmakers who have often split with the Trump administration over foreign policy.

Flynn did not say what he meant by warning the country, which is one of the seven Muslim-majority nations from which President Trump has temporarily barred visitors and refugees. But the president said during the campaign that he intended to revoke the nuclear deal with Iran, which was designed to halt production of that country’s nuclear weapons in exchange for lifting international sanctions.

Flynn also said this :

“The Obama Administration failed to respond adequately to Tehran’s malign actions—including weapons transfers, support for terrorism, and other violations of international norms,” Flynn said. “The Trump Administration condemns such actions by Iran that undermine security, prosperity, and stability throughout and beyond the Middle East and … place American lives at risk.”

Yes, this is where the national security adviser gets up in front of a camera and says, "we're putting Iran on notice" and doesn't elaborate. So, basically a 140 or less character statement.

You blew it. Trump did not notify Iran by tweet until many hours after a public announcement was made. You don't really know whether or not any other contact was made with Iran before Flynn's announcement. But knowing Iran, it would be a waste of time anyhow.

Of course it didn't. He's just covering up because he blew it. In too big a hurry to condemn Trump. I'm really starting to feel sorry for him. He used to be far more even handed and thoughtful. That ended when Trump won the primary. He just can't seem to get over it.
