Think I've finally figured this out. Many in the Church are screaming that Trump is not a true conservative. Many here are yelling it from the rooftops. The irony is, political liberalism is now rampant in the Church, and this is what the true uproar is about.

Today's American Christians are either very liberal or very tolerant of political liberalism (apolitical). They don't like Trump's conservative policies, so they point backward to his past sins. Or they point to some of his his theological statements that have been less than sound.

This tells me a few things. One is that the Church has made a grave mistake moving to an apolitical stance. It's allowed liberals of every persuasion from legalized abortion to gay marriage to feel comfortable at Church and even ascend to leadership positions. I left a Church a few years ago after one of the teaching elders took me to task over gay marriage. He seemed a great guy, theologically sound. Yet huge Obama fan and a supporter of gay marriage, and I don't think the rest of the leadership even knew. Politics is taboo at Church. You don't talk about it. I suppose it's akin to 'don't ask don't tell.'

So Trump gets elected running on numerous conservative and biblical agendas from conservative judges to border security to nationalism. And he's beloved and despised. He was a huge sinner in the past, but evolved in many ways to the point where he's believes in constitutional originalist justices. What a blessing! But not for some. Why? I've concluded the issue is not Trump and his past sins. The issue is liberalism in the Church or at least the desire to be tolerant of it. Jimmy Carter was just praised by one conservative poster here, as a godly man—a man who believed Jesus would have condoned gay marriage. Many in the Church would have been much more comfortable with Hillary at the helm, even those claiming to be conservative.

Trump is more righteous than you are. Just look how you converse. Trump actually cares about the unborn. You turned your back on them.

OK, I will bite.....how do I turn my back on the unborn....

and I looked at my converse this morning when I put them on....Hightops!

Conversely the work of the Evil One is to separate, divide & throw apart.....something defined as (dia-bolical). Look at the polls and tell me if we are or are not a divided nation. Now who did that do you think? And if you think we are, do you support that?

Hard to be considered "too conservative" when one must embrace Moral Relativism to defend Trump. All one has to do is see that the defense of Trump has always been, But Clinton, or But Obama. When I watch so called Christian defend: pornography Matt 5:27-28, corrupt communication Eph 4:29, Baby Killing Planned Parenthood Deu. 18:10, Homosexuality Rom 1:26-28, and now Ephebophila all because they voted for Trump we see a huge problem with moral relativism. Moral relativism is the tool of liberals and it has been heartbreaking for me to see so many people that used to call out moral relativism in our society embrace it now for the chance at power. God's way never looks to be pragmatic, a boy with a sling shot, walking around a walled city, fighting with only 300 men, Dying on a Cross, but when we trust Him and follow His commands, stand up for Truth, and Righteousness, He can do the most amazing things.
It is amazing how the idea of the transformative power of the Gospel has been lost in this political climate. I have been openly mocked for pointing out that it is the Gospel that changes society, not the SCOTUS or the President or even congress. (Here is a little tid bit, If Roe v. Wade is overturned tomorrow there will still be babies killed in this country. It just goes back to states to decide and places like NY and California are going to continue killing babies until the people in those states are transformed. States like SD that have managed to get down to 1 baby killing center will have none, but that will not stop women from going to a different state until they are transformed.) Romans 1:16 tells us where the real power is, and its hard to point people to the Truth, when you standing on shifting sands of moral relativism.

    We've already had this conversation.

Exactly. Just look how you converse.

Couldn't get any farther than this. The post was mind-bogglig. So you rejected Trump because he is pro life and appointed Gorsuch and demanded Planned Parenthood stop doing abortions? Surely she knew about these things. Yet look at the post.

But, it seems to make my point. Trump was the most conservative candidate we've had in decades. Yet he offended some Christians. Why? Just look at the above post and try to figure it out.

He is not prolife. You don't praise a baby killing organization like Planned Parenthood and be prolife. but please continue to defend him and his praise as it will only serve as further proof of moral relativism in his supporters base.

And there you have it. This is so irrational it makes full-blown liberals blush. Gorsuch was praised by all pro-life groups around the country. And everyone knows Trump campaigned on defunding Planned Parenthood and demanding they stop doing abortions.

This, to me, illustrates the state of the Church. if you don't think there are many like BW, think again. And if you think she doesn't really believe what she's saying (and just trolling) think again. As Christians delve into liberalism, you'll see this type of irrational thinking more and more. Total denial of reality. I fear for us.

Didn't mean to make you blush but than again Truth has away of pricking the conscience.
I notice that you always ignore the importance of the Gospel in transforming society. That speaks volumes to me.

This is liberalism. Deny the truth, implement your own alt reality. There's not a force on earth that could convince her Trump is pro life.

Meanwhile we pray for Gorsuch's confirmation.

Demonic? These headlines are on Drudge today.
WITCHES TO CAST SPELL ON TRUMP...
    MASS HEX ACROSS GLOBE...

Christian leaders: Pray for Trump against 'demonic realm'...

liberalism denies truth in favor of moral relativism which must be embraced to support trump. You have shown that well. Although instead of Alternate reality you probably should have said Alternate facts given your loyal support of the Trump Administration.
Again you cannot praise a baby killing organization and be pro life. Those are incongruous.
I've already said I think Gorsuch is a great pick but I also know that he won't change the number of babies killed since overturning Roe v Wade turns it backs to the states to make their laws on that issue.

your ignoring of the power of the Gospel is still noted.

Obama did FAR more to divide us than trump ever will, as liberalism and false religion always divide apart those serving true God and those who are not! Battle between light/darkness!

Liberalism denies reality. It's core is irrational thinking, something Christians should be able to avoid. Trump hammered abortion and demanded PP stop doing abortions or they would be defunded. That's a good and righteous thing.

You turned your back on the unborn. You have nothing on him. He is more righteous than you.

Things that must be liberal according to Calminian(since I have been used to define liberalism):
    Absolute Sufficiency of the Bible
Trust in the Power of the Gospel to change the World.
Prolife stance to the point of not even liking hormonal birth control
    Small Government
Being Governored according to the Constitution
strong marriage even thinking that remarriage after unbiblical divorce is adultry
    homosexuality is a sin
    Transgender is a mental disorder
the earth was created in 6 days and is 7 to 10 thousand years old.
    Charismatic gifts have ceased

Welcome to the world of alternative facts.

I'm speaking of political liberalism (not Christian liberalism), and you just proved another point of mine. Political liberalism is infiltrating conservative Churches and taking over the minds of conservative Christians. Thank you for the testimony.

there is none righteous no not one.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God

Why do you call me good, only one is good and that is God.

In sin did my mother conceive me.

There is no one that does not sin

there is no one upright among men

So small government and the Constitution are liberal ideas according to you good to know.
So I guess that means since Gorsuch is considered a strict Constitutionalist he must be liberal to according to your standard.
See the problem with moral relativism is you have pitted yourself against me instead of standing by the truth that political conservative is about small government and a strict reading of the Constitution.
