Now, not four months into his presidency and Trump's base is beginning to flee from him.

President Donald Trump's approval rating has fallen to a near record low with significant losses among white voters with no college degree, white men and independent voters, a new poll has found.

The survey, conducted by Quinnipiac University among nationwide participants, found that Trump has a 36% approval rating compared to 58% who disapprove of him. The number is down from Quinnipiac's April 19 poll, which found a 40% approval rating, and just 1% higher than his lowest-ever rating since he became president.

Key among those declines were groups that strongly advocated for his election. Approval among white voters with no college degree fell 10 points from 57% to 47% since April 19. White men went from a 53% approval to a 48% approval in that same time.

"There is no way to spin or sugarcoat these sagging numbers," Tim Malloy, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Poll, said in a statement.

Come on Hank. You are smarter than that reply indicates.
No CTB you were naive enough to believe the polls and talking heads with their commentaries which were 100% WRONG all the way up to and through THE ELECTION.

Hank have you ever considered that the polls might have been correct, but that some people decided not to vote as they figured Hillary had won regardless of whether they voted or not and.... more importantly that

GOP state gerrymandering is what tipped the vote for Trump. Remember he did not win by a majority.

I lean more to the gerrymandering side. Have you looked at how some districts have drawn?

How can you gerrymander a federal election?
That's what I was thinking given that with the exception of Nebraska and Main, States give their electoral votes in a winner take all fashion.

And as far as the polls go they were not as far off as people want to think they were. Neither was polling above 50% at the national level, which was true in the election, and if you dug into the polls of states that tipped this election (Penn and Florida) in Trumps favor they were starting to tip toward Trump in the final weeks leading up to the election as well. Yes I know I was one who thought Trump would lose, but as I go back and look at the polling it was there to see. When you consider that the margin of victory in both Florida and Pennsylvania were well within margin of error territory for polling its impressive they got as close as they did. The day before the election both of those states were polling toward Trump but by slim margins.

Learn to recognize fake polls, fake news and fake commentary.
If it comes from any of the mainstream liberal sources, it's not
legitimate. That's a start.

Then check out the stories (that's exactly what they are: stories)
with other sources, mainly Fox News, CBN/700-Club. I know,
some of you may have a problem with Pat Robertson because
he's charismatic-but it's not the charisma I pay attention to. I've
never known him or the 700-Club to intentionally mislead anyone.

Talk to your friends, family members and see if their news and
information either meshes with yours, or, even if it's an opposing
viewpoint. I've found that an opposing viewpoint can possibly lead
to a real credible source you never considered or expected But that's
an exception.

Invite someone to watch Fox News for at least two-hours. Doesn't
matter what the topic is on at the moment. Afterwards invite them
to watch any of the lefist-media "sources" and see how much of
the information about the same story has been censored.

Add up the editing of news conferences, voice-overs (which are
designed to throw us) and of course those "unnamed sources".

I assume you do not know what gerrymander means. Read on:

In the process of setting electoral districts, gerrymandering is a practice intended to establish a political advantage for a particular party or group by manipulating district boundaries. The resulting district is known as a gerrymander (/ˈdʒɛriˌmændər/); however, that word can also refer to the process. The term gerrymandering has negative connotations. Two principal tactics are used in gerrymandering: "cracking" (i.e. diluting the voting power of the opposing party's supporters across many districts) and "packing" (concentrating the opposing party's voting power in one district to reduce their voting power in other districts).[1]

In addition to its use achieving desired electoral results for a particular party, gerrymandering may be used to help or hinder a particular demographic, such as a political, ethnic, racial, linguistic, religious, or class group, such as in U.S. federal voting district boundaries that produce a majority of constituents representative of African-American or other racial minorities, known as "majority-minority districts". Gerrymandering can also be used to protect incumbents.

I don't think there is anyone that would argue aginst the idea the Gerrymandering helps the GOP in the House. But the Electoral college is not based on district votes (except for Nebraska and Maine) but on the entire State wide vote with a winner take all system. No amount of packing or cracking can change how the state as a whole votes a Presidential/Senatorial election.

No I don't think any last minute stay-at-home won his election. I do believe the Clinton server fiasco may have pushed Trump over the winner line - no we are not sure of the source, regardless though Comey gave her a get out of jail free card.

yes, district weight re-distribution had to do with the win but its the way its done.

Well, can we say slanted?

What about American's? Or is race and gender the "UN-sugercoated" way to conduct a poll concerning approval rating for a President of ALL Americans?

CTB, did you see any of the polls the night before the election? Clinton 55%, 325 EV, and an 81% chance of victory? Well you came through like a champ. Does your money say in polls we trust? Which way is the wind blowing today?

Wishful thinking on the part of liberals.

They apparently believe that if they continuously sooth themselves with this propaganda, fake news and these dreams of the presidents demise they will wake up one morning and suddenly it will be true.

They did this throughout the primaries and the general election only to be slapped down by reality.

No sooner had president Trump become "presumptive" president Trump than a recount was demanded as he could not have possibly won. Reality strikes again.

Now we have Russians hiding behind voting booths, offshore hacking into the voting results.
Flooding the news media with wiki-leaks.

AOBTW what was the source of the wiki-leaks?
Might it have been from the unauthorized server of a high government official said server located in his/her bathroom?

Again?

OK president Trump is not perfect but he IS the president.
