Trump Cybersecurity Advisors Resign, Citing His ‘Insufficient Attention’ to Threats

A quarter of the members of the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, whose purview includes national cybersecurity, have resigned. In a group resignation letter, they cited both specific shortfalls in the administration’s approach to cybersecurity, and broader concerns that Trump and his administration have undermined the “moral infrastructure” of the U.S.

The resignations came Monday and were acknowledged by the White House on Tuesday. Nextgov has recently published the resignation letter that the departing councilors submitted. According to Roll Call, seven members resigned from the 27-member Council.

“The moral infrastructure of our Nation is the foundation on which our physical infrastructure is built,” reads the letter in part. “The Administration’s actions undermine that foundation.”

No morals, then why did they stick around during the Obama regime? James Clapper lied before the Congress. The AG, Eric Holder also lied before the Congress and was held in contempt by that same body. President Obama lied to us time and time again. So please tell me, what kind of "moral infrastructure" was present during the Obama years?

So let's see...

The Manufacturing Council had mass resignations, so many that they disbanded the council. Within an hour Trump took credit for dissolving the council.

The Strategy and Policy Forum had mass resignation, so Trump took credit for dissolving the council.

The National Infrastructure Advisory Council had six members resign.

The entire sixteen member group of artists on the President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities council resigned on the same day.

One member of Trump's evangelical advisory council resigned.

And now the Cybersecurity Council has resignations.

So much winning!

Well looks like this is one resignation I can support, looks like they were the liberal section of the group that got mad at Trump for not going along with the Paris Climate Trade Agreement and not taking the side of "it was just Nazis causing trouble" at Charlottesville..

There has been a bleed off of conservatives under Trump, but this is one that seems the opposite.

Read their resignation letter yourself, just a few paragraphs.

A Democrat like you worried about cyber security? I almost spit my Coke out on my phone laughing when I read this.

Despite people telling you bringing up precedence neuters any point you make, this is an excellent challenge. One that most likely won't be answered. Unless it's to tell you your point is neutered due to your use of precedence.

You know, it would be refreshing if you actually posted a thought on the topic. But seemingly you have no thoughts on any topic other than attempted insults. And we know what that means. Right?

In what way does cyber-security have anything to do with climate change?

Not really, but if that is what you believe then that is what you believe.

Actually I realize you have nothing but insults and by such you are admitting you have nothing in response. So be it.

If all is so well with your hero, why are so many resigning from his advisory boards?

Because, the heat from the swamp dwellers is getting too hot for them.

Good question, but I linked their letter (and even suggested it was a short read). They obviously thought it was important and said it was why they were chaff butted and quitting. Trump didn't push carbon taxes on us and dared say Antifa was part of the problem in Charlottesville. So they quit.

Good riddance is what it looks like from my easy chair.

Why not? The Obama administration is the perfect example and since they are the immediate predecessor of Mr. Trumps they are fair game to point out the double standard that exists when people criticize our current President. Mr. Trump has his faults, Obama's were far worse.

Terrible Supreme court justice. Most liberal appeals court appointees in history. He let ISIS grow huge. His red line in Syria. Let Fat Boy Un develop nuclear missiles. Screwed Israel over multiple times. Put our military in its worst state of readiness since Carter. Lit the White House up in Queer colors. Allowed Queers in the military. Paid for nut cases in the military to have sex changes. Invited a cop killer to the White House. Bowed to a king of a sand empire. Let the IRS persecute Conservatives. Ran cover for Hillary and her corruption.

Lied to get his health awful health care bill passed. Flooded the southwest with illegal guns. Jailed a man for making a movie. Blamed four murders on the filmmaker. Lies about putting congressional bills online for five days so Americans could view them. Allowed his wife to destroy school lunch programs.

What were his faults that were far worse?

1. His pathological lying to us.
2. His many blatant un-constitutional actions.
3. His use of government agencies against his political opponents.
4. His arrogance and condescension.

Sure he was a nice family man, but that only goes so far.

You are right, Trump is guilty of all these and more. You described Trump accurately, but didn't list all his sins. Oh, but you are wrong about his family man status. He is also a disaster in that area as well.
