Vice President Mike Pence walked out on his home-state Indianapolis Colts Sunday when members of the opposing team kneeled for the national anthem, but a report that Colin Kaepernick, the player who started it all, will stand if given another shot in the NFL was quickly dialed back.

"I left today's Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem," Pence tweeted.

The Colts have taken massive amounts of taxpayers' money to fund their stadium. They pay nothing for the use of the stadium. Meanwhile Indianapolis and surrounding counties have to pay a restaurant surcharge on every meal to help pay for the stadium. Indianapolis people got an increase in their property tax to help pay for the stadium. Lucas Oil Stadium probably never will be paid for. The average person cannot afford to attend a professional football game. The Colts are a major disappointment.

Colts paid $100 million toward construction costs and pay a lease of $2 million per year. A sweetheart deal, but to say they pay nothing is inaccurate.

Fly from Las Vegas to Indianapolis for the game, where you know you will be leaving before it starts. Flying back to California for a fundraiser. Wonder how much that cost taxpayers?

Wow, I don't know... who would have thought in a million years that a player on the 49ers would kneel for the national anthem? And the Vice President just happened to be there.

Um...I was there. I didn't see one person kneel during the national anthem. I didn't have the best view- (section 117 row 4 seat 9)- of the 49ers, but it all went great. No giant American flag like I was expecting. They had a humongous cancer flag in honor to cancer survivors.

They are estimating that the flight alone costs are from $250,000 to $300,000.

I'm young enough to remember when Bill Clinton paying $200 to get a haircut sent right-wingers off into rant mode land.

It would have been none of their business if it was his own money. Do you think that the VP picked up the tab on that trip? LOL
