Perhaps they are wanting a man in there for some upcoming efforts? Not every country views women in the same light.

Maybe one day folks will learn that they CANNOT parse the actions of Trump a'la' a common everyday beltway politician. He will make a liar out of you every time if your try to pin-point his actions!

Speculation is one thing, but prophesying is a total nuther animal.

 

No one stays in that job very long. It is an overrated job. As time goes by, the UN becomes less and less important. It is a thankless job and a lot of UN representatives from other countries really belong in a prison somewhere. There is some talk that they might nominate that homosexual ambassador to Germany for the job. They should downgrade it to the point where we just send a career diplomat there. It makes me sick that we have had to fund that place all these years and we can't even get it out of this country because no one in the world wants that thing around.
