Dungeons & Dragons event encourages community

"Fellowship and Dragons had its first group meeting in Mabee Hall on Saturday. Attendees spend the first 30 minutes immersed in a Bible study, followed by two hours playing the game 'Dungeons and Dragons.'"

"Weston Weast, junior music major from Oklahoma City and RA in Mabee Hall...created the event....'It’s pretty much at the core a Bible study that leads into a ‘D&D’ session,' Weast said....'We started it last semester and now we are continuing it this semester and it’s still doing great.'"

"Weast said “Dungeons and Dragons” is similar to any average tabletop game....Brandon Denny, a freshman digital entertainment and technology major from Spring, said he heard about Weast’s event through flyers he saw around campus. 'Weston put up flyers about it everywhere and one day it just piqued my curiosity'"

Weast said he is excited to see people making friends through his event....'It’s really interesting as the RA to see a bunch of random freshmen who live in different halls coming together to play the game and learn about the Word.'"

Well if it works for them. Then by all means but that would not be my cup of tea. Just saying. Not into games that much. But people have different kind of Bible studies. But good luck with it.

I was heavily into D&D during my high school years. I think I can honestly say that D&D is totally incompatible with any God-honoring, Christ-centered Bible study.

Perhaps the 30 minute study is a shallow, superficial study. That could explain a lot.

Thank you for your testimony! I completely agree with you. D&D is an Occult game saturated with paganism; sorcery; witchcraft; and so many more things that are antichrist. It is a tool intended for indoctrination of these things belonging to Satan. Before I was saved, I played the game once with some "friends", and the irony is, when I look back at the experiece today, everyone involved was reprobate. Two of the players were siblings that had parents that were atheists; the parents deliberately named the siblings "Alpha" and "Omega" to blaspheme the Lord Jesus Christ's name. While I am certain that we can swap war stories, and compare that evil game with other games that are of the same low grade as the Ouija Board, one thing we can recognize and acknowledge here is that this is another End Times Deception to deceive people into eating things sacrificed to devils.

If, in their study, they could read 1Corinthians 10:20-22 and 2Corinthians 6:14-18 along with Deuteronomy 18 they might can grasp that the mixing of that game is rebellion against God, as it is eating from the table of devils to learn the deep things of Satan. The mixing of that evil game is of the doctrines of both Balaam and the Egyptians (Nicolaitans).

The Lord Jesus Christ is speaking to the Churches, but are they hearing Him? Are they hearing His words in the Seven Letters to the Seven Churches? I would hope that anyone that would think that it is "O.K." to bring a Satanic game into any Church service would prayerfully read Revelation 1-3, as the Lord makes it clear that there are severe consequences for such actions. There is no sharing of the darkness with the Light. We are to be separate from infidels. We are to abstain from pollutions of idols. That's right, the Church is commanded to abstain from idols and polutions of idols. The command is written in Acts 15:19-29 and we get further instruction in the Epistles of Paul and James.

It is obvious to me, that the "Fellowship and Dragons" group is a Cult in the making, of the house of the dead. Weast is deceived and deceiving. This is a clear example of turning Grace into lasciviousness per Jude 1:4

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

2Jn 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.
2Jn 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
2Jn 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
2Jn 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2Jn 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
2Jn 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.

If people are mixing a game, designed as tool for indoctrination of witchcraft, sorcery, magic, and other deep things of Satan, in with "Bible Study", does it really work for them? What did Apostle Paul say in 1Corinthians 10:20-22? What did the LORD instruct in Deuteronomy 18? What did Apostle Paul teach in 2Corinthians 6:14-18? What command did the Apostles give to the Church in Acts 15:19-29? What did Apostle John say in 2John 1:6-11? What did Jesus Christ say in Revelation 2:12-29? What are the conquences for those that don't repent from the deep things of Satan? How did Jesus Christ define them in that passage? What did Jude write in Jude 1:4 about grace being turned into lasciviousness? What commandment did Apostle Paul give in 2Timothy 4:1-5 for when people are not enduring sound doctrine?

Jerome, thank you for bringing this to our attention, as it is another aspect of the Occult invasion into our culture and into our Churches.

It will be my intention to expound upon this topic in a future thread, but for now, I would like to share today's audio from Jan Markell's Olive Tree View Ministries hosted on American Family Radio, as she opens the discussion with warning of a video game, that is coming out soon, that is geared toward children, to engage them in roleplay as children of demons fighting against "the Creator". She does not mention Final Fantasy X, but there was a similar theme toward the end of that game, which taught black magic, and other sorceries, to fight against "Yevon", "the Creator". We know from reading Revelation, that when the KING of Kings and LORD of Lords returns, that the people that have taken the mark of the beast and worship the image of the beast (Satan) will think that they will wage war with the Lord Jesus Christ, our Maker and Creator, but ofcourse, they will be destroying by the brightness of His coming. At this time, as followers of Jesus Christ, we have the opportunity to preach the Word of God, with the effort to reach as many as we can with the Gospel, and with warning of the things to come. I hope that Jan Markell's program will prove to be a blessing for anyone participating and/or reading this thread. There are many other video games and board games that are tools intended for deceiving people into eating things sacrificed to devils; indoctrinating them with the deep things of Satan. With these deceptions, the world is being groomed for the arrival of the Antichrist.

"Watching Evil Wax Worse and Worse
    February 2, 2019

Jan Markell discusses the perils of the paranormal with Eric Barger and Jill Martin Rische. We are watching evil wax worse and worse as predicted for the last days. From the demon possession and blatant occult featured on Netflix to the Arch of Palmyra in Washington, mankind is celebrating the dark. This has consequences. What can Christians do?"

People commonly Disparage D&D without any clear evidence or knowledge about what is going on. D&D started with Chainmail, a medeival strategy game. Rules were added to allow units to evolve. This is the mechanism which allows for the RPG element.

Which games evolved from this system.

All 3-D shooters, including Call of Duty, PUBG, fortnite, etc.
Most computer strategy games and many more complicated table-top games. (Chess and checkers are exceptions.)
    Sports games such as NB2K.

That being said, less video games would definitely make the lives and health of most people far better.

Next, D&D doesn’t introduce people to the occult. With Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Supernatural, Star Wars, Marvel, etc. introducing far more people to the occult and D&D is less than a drop in the bucket.

On top of that, add Easter, Christmas, U.S. monuments, and somehow it’s D&D which introduces people to the occult?

Why do people find RPG games to be evil? Rules are lifted allowing people to show their true colors. One might never know just how evil a person is until you put them into an environment where all consequences for their actions are removed. Look at the popularity of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption.

Is the D&D they are playing even resemble the D&D of the 1970s, 80s, or 90s? I doubt it. D&D has evolved into more of a board game and less of an RPG as time goes along.

Quoting scripture completely out of context won’t change anyone’s mind. Claiming sorcery or demon worship when there is none won’t change anyone’s mind.

For me, this D&D after bible study is basically the same thing as a Super Bowl Party after a church service. I don’t agree with either. But I’m not going to stoop to call those who go to a Super Bowl Party demon worshippers.

Hank, it is unbelievable, but it is End Times deception. In the link that I posted above for Jan Markell's Broadcast; she also pointed out that there is, get this now, an "Angel Board", that is being brought into Churches .... it is nothing more than the Ouija Board repackaged. I hope more Christians will sound the alarm on this very important issue in their local Communities.

    Hmm?

Proverbs 16:33 The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

of the LORD - NOT A demon.

So they used special LORD lots as oppose to demon lots. Where do you get these LORD lots?

Ok, enough playing games. You might want to educate yourself.

    https://www.vox.com/2016/10/29/13301590/how-ouija-boards-work-debunked-ideomotor-effect

My personal favorite is that ouija boards never work when the participants are blindfolded.

I’ve never owned a Ouija board since parlour tricks have never been my thing.

The demons I most worry about are the two-legged ones everyone can see.

The warning has been sounded. It is up to the individual or individuals to "heed" the warning that has been given.

We are told, in Ephesians 5:11 not to have any sharing with the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead to refute them.

I have met the Occultists behind the Ouija Board, Tarot Cards, Psychic Readings, and the rest of the elongated list of things that pertain to the Illuminati. I can testify that they are Satanists/Witches/Necromancers and so much more. True to Ephesians 6:12 those people are possessed by wicked spirits. They worship Satan and make sacrifices to the Devil. They use the Ouija Board, and promote it, along with all of the related games, including, you got it, D&D. Apostle Paul made it clear in 1Corinthians 10:20-22 that we cannot eat from the table of devils and the table of the Lord. In 2Corinthians 6:14-18, the Lord has commanded us to be separate and touch not the unclean thing. That "unclean thing" is Satan. Furthermore, in Acts 15:19-29 the Church is commanded to abstain from pollutions of idols. There is a reason why Jesus Christ said for us to hate this life, just as there is also a reason why Apostle John said for us not to love the world, nor the things in the world. This life is temporal, and right now, the world is being groomed for the arrival of the Antichrist and for the taking of the mark of the beast. I have seen the Satanists worship the images of Baphomet, Buddha, Egyptian idols, and many more. They are feverishly working to deceive the world. Now, you may have a hard time believing this, I understand that, but I am telling you that I have seen what they do in secret behind the scenes, and they are using the Gaming Industry; Music Industry; Television Industry; Movie Industry; Fashion Industry; Sports Industry; and many other avenues to deceive the entire world. They have been steadily deceiving the world for generations, and that is why we are seeing today, the redefinition of Marriage; decrees uttered by World Leaders that Countries that were once Christian, are no longer Christian. Remember hearing Barak Obama announce to the world that The United States of America is no longer a Christian Nation? Have you noticed that the Presidents have had visitors to the White House, such as Sun Myung Moon, Hindus, Muslims, Psychics, and more, and have participated, at various times, ceremonies with the likes of these groups? These things are happening in fulfillment of End Times Prophecy.

I always encourage prayerful reading of the full context of the passages that I reference. 1John 2:15 is the verse per Apostle John's instruction to love not the world, nor the things in the world. Please read that, then read the Lord Jesus Christ's words in John 15:19 and it my prayer and hope that you will discern the wisdom of those holy words.

Also, have you considered the real time statistics of the great majority of Millenials that have denied the faith of Jesus Christ and have converted to practicing Witchcraft? Once you see those statistics, that's when you may become sobered to the reality of the Occult deceptions.
