They do have security cameras and have had for years. The cathedral is the largest gothic cathedral in the world with many places to evade the system.

Do you know that to be factual... cameras today are very sophisticated I’ve seen cameras that are used forensics that are real difficult to hide from.

It has been close to twenty years since I worked there. I was a substance abuse counselor and worked primarily with clients referred to me through the Episcopal Diocese of New York social service office located in the undercroft of the cathedral. The security system in place at that time was grainy and there were a lot of hidey-holes where people could avoid detection. The current verger of the cathedral told me recently there was a better system installed after a bad fire some years back. I remember a visit from a very controversial Orthodox patriarch who had received death threats during his American tour. My verger friend was new to the job and telling me it was unrealistic to think that the thousands of people attending the liturgy could be admitted and a proper security check done on each person. Apparently, the new system is improved, but for days like Easter when attendance is standing room only and can be upwards of 10,000 people, security would be extremely difficult. I attended a Los Angeles Dodger game I've couple years ago and was thinking just how Lacks the security was upon entrance and how easy it would be for someone 2 bring in a bomb. I think most people realize just how vulnerable we are at these events weather secular or religious.

And we like our British friends, though your sacking of our national Capitol in 1812 still rankles us a bit. Which reminds me, you have never paid any compensation to us for that, so I will give you a deal. Send me 50,000 pounds sterling (or Euros) and I will call it even. (I will take cash or a cashiers check made payable to "Cash"). Thank you in advance!

As someone said, "All history is biased."

Reminds me. When I first met my wife she had just returned from a year's course in Paris.
Some years after we were married. she invited a lady and her two children who she had given English lessons to, to come and stay with us. I took them to Portsmouth, but my wife didn't come, I can't remeber why. We went to see the HMS Victory and the Mary Rose. It didn't occur to me that they were both involved when we were at war with France. When we returned home my wife asked Madame V (I won't try spelling the name as ity was Italian origine pronounced in French) how it went. Mdme V said "We saw two ships, One you won and he died and the other, you won and the ship sank."

I'd say more like the brass serpent that Moses had to destroy.

You are off on your history. You are clearly referencing the revolution that started in 1776 when we threw off the yoke of British oppression. I was talking about the war that occurred in 1812 when you sacked our national capitol.

We did however eventually defeat you once again during the same time period at the Battle of New Orleans, which was another glorious feat of American military prowess under our great military leader, General Andrew Jackson.
