He might as well help a Republican get elected in 2020.

He is the reason a Democrat was elected in 1992. [IMG]

I don't know whether this is serious or not, but Perot was ki d of contradictory. Help democrats--- help Republicans. A billionaire, and he drove an old Buick Lesabre, with an American flag on the back glass, to our Dairy Queen occasionally just to get ice cream. I hadn't seen him there in several years, though.

Yeah, seems to be a bit of a spoof, though this guy may think it’s all true. It is funny, though (and Trump may need that money for his third and fourth terms :Wink)! Snopes was quick to dis it even noting Perot only had 5 kids (though 19 grandkids). They didn’t bother to mention that Perot was nonetheless supporting President Trump to the max.

On the bright side, good that he is repenting of the error which caused that evil.

He wrote 2 checks for the maximum allowable amount, whatever that is, but certainly far less than 100m.

In a sense I think Perot blazed a trail which Trump ran with after fixing the errors made obvious by Perot's attempt. Namely, to run as a Republican rather than 3rd party besides being an outsider Billionaire working for the forgotten people.

Thanks. Yes, varying stories coming out. I guess this is why no one here has approached the story about the Russian sub deaths.

TTBOMK, Perot ran when a Rep was the incumbent, thus could not do what Trump did. Perot was against NAFTA while Bush was for it. Clinton pretended to be against it, until elected. Also, Perot was pro-abortion, like McCain, thus didn’t have evangelical backing.

However, Perot was for reducing the debt and balancing the budget. Both the Reps and Dems have sold us out on that and NAFTA and with the WTO and China. Trump won't likely fix it all, but he will do better than most, and far better than any Dem.

I never knew this about Perot, although I didn't pick up a Bible for the first and start reading it until about 1 1/2 years after this election and it wasn't until I researched and found the truths about when life began, and that I had lied to (Romans 12:2), that this became a MAJOR issue to me. I was sure disappointed when Perot temporarily dropped out and ruined what I thought was a real chance to win. On top of that I still hoped there might be a chance and threw away my vote on him like so many others. I couldn't stand Clinton and was very disappointed in that election, that the vote had been divided.
