He had no surviving family, so friends tried to drop the word for people in his hometown to attend. They did. People came from all over, 3000 strong. When he got to Vietnam in ‘71, things were really wound down, but he went on to serve for 6 years. I am gratified that he was honored this way. Thanks to all patriots who made the trip.

While this probably made the people who showed up feel good, the veteran in question was not there, only his body. His soul was gone at the moment of bodily death, and hopefully for him to a far better place than this earth.

And you know this how? I have had a near death experience & my soul left my body, but remained in the room observing everyone. I can tell you who came in & out of the room & from where they came or left to. People can believe whatever they like, but it doesn’t make it so. We will only have the real answers when He deems it so. There will be some big surprises for many, I’m guessing, & many of those many thought they had all the answers. How audacious. Faith & love, just like my Grandma taught me, that’s the best I can do. I love that these people showed up to pay their respects to a stranger, that’s what I know about that. Would that please God? Or just made them feel better about themselves? I don’t presume to know.
