We arrested some kids who stole 3 cars one night. When in front of juvenile court judge, he asked them why were you up at 3am anyway? One of the kids said we were playing a video game. Judge said "let me guess, Grand theft auto?". Both simultaneously said, "yes sir."

When I was a kid (Atari / NES) there was a push to make Christian video games. Valiant effort, but they were mostly terrible. I am glad to see Christian movies have improved dramatically in recent years.. "Greater" was fantastic!

Yup. Lots of folks died very violent deaths, sometimes by the millions. Long before video games.

The problem is lazy parents. Parents who medicate their kids instead of applying the rod of correction. I agree with John MacArthur, there is no valid reason to give your kids ADD meds. I had ADHD as a kid and have adult ADD. No meds. Got my tail beat a lot and turned out just fine.

Corporal punishment of children today can get you jail time.

When I was kid in East Boston the truant officer would scan the streets looking for kids playing hooky (like my cousins and I).
He would take us to the school where we would get lashed on the hands with a bamboo rattan then he would take us home where we would get beat with a belt.

    Corporal punishment is perfectly legal.

BALONEY - I spent a thousand dollars for a lawyer to keep from going to jail for spanking my kids and that was 20 years ago!

When I was in high school the vice principal, whose main job was discipline, commonly grabbed kids by the scruff & threw them up against the lockers to glare at them if they were cutting up during class change. If you ever got sent to the office, a large paddle awaited you. Now, staff can be physically threatened by a student, & not even a detention would be issued. No consequence equals abhorrent behavior.

Well, did you go to jail? Were you found guilty of anything?
You can Baloney, Ham, Salami all you want. It is not illegal.

Ok. You broke no law. You were falsely accused. Had you broken the law, it really wouldn't matter if you fought it or not. A moron at child protective services was your problem. You teach them a lesson, sue them personally. They act outside the law, they are on their own. You hit the officer right dead square in their pocket book.

OK I agree I rained on their picnic but I didn't sue.

Still I repeat with one fiat - corporal punishment of your children MIGHT get you a jail sentence AND

I predict one day it will in every case (unless Jesus returns with His rod of iron).

During deer season, kids old enough to drive to HAS would have their deer guns (shotguns only in NJ) in their cars on the school parking lot, so they could more quickly get into the woods after school. SOP then, SWAT team call now.
