Marianne Williamson on Running For President: 'I Didn't Think the Left Lied Like This'

    Sure, a lot of critics might think that 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson can be a little cooky at times for whatever reason. But, judging by a recent podcast interview she did, Williamson has now experienced what a lot of those on the right already know — leftist politicians and critics aren’t always the nicest people despite their self-righteous claims.

    Williamson joined New Yorker editor David Remnick on the “Politics and More” podcast to talk about her candidacy as well as some misconceptions about her. However, what might be garnering the most attention is the comments Williamson made about “the left.”

    “I know this sounds naive,” Williamson told Remnick. “I didn’t think the left was so mean. I didn’t think the left lied like this. I thought the right did that. I thought we were better.”
