Ain't it grand to know the Lord doesn't own Sunday. How much did he sell it to the NFL for?

Note that while the foolish virgins went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with Him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came the virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

But He answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

As you can see, both those who were selling oil out of time and those who went to buy it lost their souls forever.

And are you worried about the day of Sunday, Saturday, or any other day, and don't you realize that the fullness of the Gentiles has arrived? And the door of salvation for Gentiles has closed, such as was closed the door of the Ark of Noah and only oito soul were saved . Your Sunday Day or Saturday are good for nothing for salvation, they are a stumblingblock for all that keep days.

The Day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

    Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the Day of the Lord comes, for it is nigh at hand;

A Day of darkness and of gloominess, a Day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

A FIRE devoures before them; and behind them a flame burns: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.

Behold, the Day comes (and has arrived), that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the Day that comes (and has arrived) shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

    Isaiah 33

10 Now will I rise, saith the Lord; now will I be exalted; now will I lift up myself.

11 Ye shall conceive chaff, ye shall bring forth stubble: your breath, as FIRE, shall devour you.

12 And the people shall be as the burnings of lime: as thorns cut up shall they be burned in the FIRE.

13 Hear, ye that are far off, what I have done; and, ye that are near, acknowledge my might.

14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

Why do you ask me questions I answered in my fist post, to which you're replying? BTW, I don't agree some of the posts addressed to you. Just blind people, who think they have the eyes of eagles, jousting with each other.

1st day of the week. SUNDAY as the pagan adopted remain in ENGLISH.

But we just walk over to GREEK.

Κυριακή Lord's day. First day of the week.

We see from early christians and letters "Lord's day" = first day of the week.

This whole sabbath day vs sunday thing was started here in the United States. USA.

    John 7

19“Did not Moses give you the Law, and yet none of you carries out the Law? Why do you seek to kill Me?” 20The crowd answered, “You have a demon! Who seeks to kill You?” 21Jesus answered them, “I did one deed, and you all marvel. 22“For this reason Moses has given you circumcision (not because it is from Moses, but from the fathers), and on the Sabbath you circumcise a man. 23“If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath so that the Law of Moses will not be broken, are you angry with Me because I made an entire man well on the Sabbath? 24“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

Here's a issue SDAs should look at. MOSES had to allow circumcision on sabbath else they would BREAK MOSAIC SABBATH LAW.

In other words you have to be circumcised to keep sabbath. Which is what the judaisers are complaining about in acts 15.

    Acts 15
5But some of the sect of the Pharisees who had believed stood up, saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them and to direct them to observe the Law of Moses.”

    Acts 15
19“Therefore it is my judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles, 20but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. 21“For Moses from ancient generations has in every city those who preach him, since he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

Here James had to explain what Jews do on Sabbath to the Gentiles. Rather then say hey they do the same stuff we do on sabbath, which would be obvious and self-evident. Its clear from the pharisees gentiles were off doing something totally different.

Thanks brother Shooster for your kind words. I was asking again because REVELATION 1:10 is a reference to "LORDS DAY" but it does not say that the "LORDS DAY" is Sunday. I was asking for a scripture that says that the "LORDS DAY is SUNDAY. God's WORD clearly defines what day is "THE LORDS DAY" but it is not SUNDAY.

    God bless

Hi brother utilyan nice to see you again but NOPE!

The GREEK word Κυριακή is not a reference to the 1st day of the week. Happy to discuss the GREEK meaning in detail if you like? This is why Κυριακή is not a reference to the 1st day of the week....

The term "LORDS DAY" used in Revelation 1:10 is not linked to μία των which is used in the NEW TESTAMENT Greek which means FIRST DAY.

In Revelations 1:10 "Lords Day κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ does not link to any scripture reference in the NEW TESTAMENT to μιά των σαββάτων (the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK).

κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ used in Revelations 1:10 is in reference to the Lord's ownership of the day. It does not say that this day is in reference to μιά των σαββάτων which means the FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK.

Your challenge here in this OP is to prove that the Lord's DAY is in reference to the First day of the week and prove it from the scriptures.

Physical circumcision is not a requirement in the NEW COVANENT of faith. It is a SHADOW law from the MOSAIC BOOK of the OLD COVENANT *EXODUS 24:7 that points to a "NEW HEART" by faith.

ROMANS 2:28-29 [28], For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: [29], But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

    Hope this is helpful.

Amen! SDA's will cite that Jesus said he was Lord of the Sabbath, yet that is a weak argument and the evidence for the first day (Sunday) is stronger. In all the 5 books that John wrote, he always called the Sabbath "the Sabbath." If Revelation 1:10 was the Sabbath, John would have stated, "I was in the Spirit on the Sabbath," but that is not what John said. Jesus rose on the first day (Sunday) AFTER the Sabbath. (Matthew 28:1) The Holy Spirit was given on Pentecost in Acts 2:1, which falls on Sunday. It was on the first day of the week (Sunday) that the disciples came together to break bread and worship because it was the the day of Christ's resurrection. (Mark 16:2; Luke 24:1; John 20:1,19)

SDA's basically turn the Sabbath into an idol and teach that the near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday. - Bible Truth Versus Adventist Truth - Mark of the Beast

YOU do not answer my question! The answer to your question is that God Incarnate in the form of Jesus Christ gave His followers the Apostles the power to "bind and loose" things on this earth and it was they who decided on the new "Lord's Day", Sunday. Scripture is followed and fulfilled by that action.

huh? Nope that does not answer the question; Where is the scripture that says SUNDAY is the "LORDS DAY" does it? If it doesn't who are we following God's Word or the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God? No one is given power on earth to go against God's Word.

WHAT DAY IS THE LORD'S DAY ?

Every day is the LORD's (including "Sunday").

    Psalm 24:1 The earth is the LORD's and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it;

    Hebrews 3
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
    14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
15 While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16 For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?
18 And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19 So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

Hi Hank nice to see you. Where does it say in the scriptures everyday is "THE LORDS DAY"? The only definition of "THE LORDS DAY" is found in MATTHEW 12:8.

    God bless

You call this friendly discussion? Your slanderous comments are not friendly discussion.

Sabbath keeping with all it's rules and regulations, was part of a covenant with Israel (Exodus 16:23, 29; 31:12-18; 35:1-3; Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3, 32; Numbers 15:32-36; 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13; Amos 8:5; Nehemiah 10:31; 13:15,19) that is not binding on the Church/Christians in the New Testament. (Colossians 2:16-17)

Even when SDA's set out to worship on the Sabbath, are they truly "keeping the Sabbath as it was required in the Old Testament under the Old Covenant? This would involve compliance with specific regulations (Exodus 16:23; 35:3; Leviticus 23:32; Jeremiah 17:21) that were strictly enforced. If Sabbath day observances are still required, so would the burnt offerings which went along with them (Leviticus 19:30; 23:2-3; Numbers 28:1-10; 29:39-40; I Chronicles. 23:30-31; II Chronicles 31:2-4; Isaiah 1:13). So no kindling a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath (Exodus 35:3). Every man must remain in his place on the sabbath (Exodus 16:29). No trading (Amos 8:5). No marketing (Nehemiah 10:31; 13:15,19).

These were commanded by God to Israel (Exodus 35:1). If the seventh day Sabbath is still in affect, then why don't you seek to obey ALL that the LORD commanded? How can you keep a certain law when you only keep part of it? If the Sabbath day laws were still in effect today, then according to Exodus 31:12-18; 35:1-3; and Numbers 15:32-36, anyone who profaned the Sabbath was put to death and any person who does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from his people. So who is going to enforce that? The Jewish synagogue? The Seventh day Adventist church? The Government? Since we do not live under a theocratic state as Israel did in the Old Testament under the Old Covenant, no SDA can live consistently under these Mosaic regulations.

Sadly, you have been deceived by the Seventh Day Adventist church and need to repent of your false teachings in regards to the Sabbath that culminate in salvation is by "grace plus law, faith plus works" which is more than a subtle mixture of law and grace that is a perversion of the gospel (Galatians 1:6-9).

This is only sent in love and as a help to you.

Some comments for you below my friend...

Well this one is an easy one. Your claim here is in your own words...

"Sabbath keeping with all it's rules and regulations, was part of a covenant with Israel"

Then you twist scripture to try and support your view. Now lets examine this comment in the light of God's WORD and see if there is any truth to your claims?

WHEN DID GOD (JESUS) MAKE THE SABBATH; BLESS THE SABBATH AND MAKE IT A HOLY DAY?

GENESIS 2:1-3 [1], Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. [2], And ON THE SEVENTH DAY God ended his work which he had made; and he RESTED [שׁבת; shâbath H7673; Keep Sabbath] on the SEVENTH DAY from all his work which he had made. [3], And GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY AND MADE IT HOLY: because that in it he had RESTED [שׁבת; shâbath H7673; Keep Sabbath] from all his work which God created and made.

    Links to God’s 4th Commandment

EXODUS 20:8-11 [8], REMEMBER THE SABBATH DAY, TO KEEP IT HOLY [Made Holy at creation GENESIS 2:3]. [9], Six days shall you labor, and do all your work: [10], But THE SEVENTH DAY [ Genesis 2:1-3] IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD YOUR GOD : in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger that is within your gates: [WHY?] [11], FOR IN SIX DAYS THE LORD MADE HEAVEN AND EARTH, THE SEA, AND ALL THAT IS IN THEM IS, AND RESTED THE SEVENTH DAY; WHEREFORE THE LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH DAY AND MADE IT HOLY. [Refering to GENESIS 2:1-3]

Not hard read the scripture. Look at the HEBREW WORD meanings again...

The Hebrew word for RESTED used here is שׁבת; shâbath (H7673). It's meaning is; to repose, that is, desist from exertion; used in many implied relations (causatively, figuratively or specifically): - (cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, KEEP SABBATH, suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away.

שׁבת; shâbath or REST (H7673) is the ORIGIN or ROOT word for שׁבּת; shabbâth (H7676) which is used in God's 4th commandments translated into english as SABBATH. The HEBREW Word for shabbâth meaing is the intermission between SABBATHS or shâbath (H7673) REST or the continuation meaing from one SABBATH REST to the Next SABBATH REST continuation or EVERY SABBATH. It's application is in God's 4th commandment EXODUS 20:8 is to REMEMBER [EVERY] Sabbath [shabbâth H7676].

In the 4th commandment *EXODUS 20:8-11; v11 tells us the ORIGINS of God's 4th commandments Sabbath is in reference to GENESIS 2:1-3 and the reason why it is given as a memorial of Greation to whorship God as the creator of Heaven and Earth.

    ...............

Hebrew and Greek Dictionaries w/TVM, Strong - H7673
    REST
    from GENESIS 2:1-3
    שׁבת
    shâbath
    shaw-bath'
A primitive root; to REPOSE, that is, desist from exertion; used in many implied relations (causatively, figuratively or specifically): - (cause to, let, make to) cease, CELEBRATE, cause (make) to fail, KEEP SABBATH, suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) REST, rid, still, take away.

    ................

Ok now we have gone through the ORIGIN OF THE SABBATH. Please pay attention and read this question very carefully.

Wait for it, are you paying attention?

HOW CAN GOD'S SABBATH WHICH WAS MADE ON THE SEVENTH DAY OF THE CREATION WEEK, AS A DAY OF REST FOR MANKIND *MARK 2:27-28, WHEN MANKIND WAS IN PERFECT HARMONY WITH GOD BEFORE THERE WAS ANY SIN OR NEED FOR A PLAN OF SALVATION, WHEN THERE WAS NO ISREAL OR JEW....

HOW CAN THE SABBATH BE MADE AS YOU CLAIM ONLY FOR ISRAEL WHEN THERE WAS NO ISRAEL WHEN THE SABBATH WAS MADE WHEN JESUS SAYS THAT WHEN THE SABBATH WAS MADE AT CREATION IT WAS MADE FOR ALL MANKIND?

This is where your whole post and argument falls apart because your premise for everything you have posted is that the SABBATH was made only for ISRAEL. Yet it is God's WORD (JESUS) that says that the SABBATH was made for mankind and when it was made on the SEVENTH DAY of the creation week there was NO ISRAEAL and NO JEW.

    Hope this is helpful

I said there is not one . 'It is just the practice of meeting and cerebrating on the first day of the week, that commemorates Jesus resurrection.
