McKissic said he thought he would be a good one so long as he doesn't try to reverse the current progressive movement of the convention.

He has been wishy washy on things saying he is against them but not tsking a firm stance on eliminating them. Also they have brought on some questionable staff at southern.
Got any examples? This is news to me. I have a high respect for Dr. Mohler so this is a little troubling.

I think that he will be a very divisive candidate. It is a pity that he thinks that he should be the president of the SBC. The SBC seems to want a constant disagreement within their ranks. If they have to have an educator, they would be much wiser to select Richard Land, If the Greear and Moore lot are still in control, Richard Land probably would be barred from attending the annual meeting. Why not go with Paula White from the White House?

I don't think he is wishy washy. It just seems to me that he is careful in choosing which hills are worth dying on.

How so?

Why? And he was told he would be nominated, he didn't "put his hat in the ring" so to speak.

He needn't be so coy. No one knows exactly what he stands for. Who needs him? Why can't they just nominate an ordinary person who believes the BF&M and is willing to stand up for it and cut expenses in Nashville to reflect the decline in the SBC?

Well there is a bit of an exodus started and if he continues to be so measured as President he may not be able to stop it.

???

Who says he doesn't believe the BF&M?

That's not what I wrote. I said let's just get a guy who believes and is willing to stand up for the BF&M and has the ability to trim the fat out of Nashville, which is too big for their britches, agree?

Why would you want Mohler for prez?
