In the age of Trump and two years of recent Republican control of Congress, this is seriously defective. To say I'm shocked is an understatement of epic proportions.

Planned Parenthood has released its 2018-2019 annual report and it reveals that the abortion provider, in its last fiscal year (ending June 30, 2019), performed its highest yearly number of abortions on record, while also receiving the highest amount of government funding it has ever received in a year.

Part of the problem I have with it is that irs what PP is reporting and there is no real outside confirmation. Given that its already an established fact that PPs are closing down all over the country it makes me question the numbers.

I dont dont it. Trump is trying. The RINOS wont fight. They are too scared to shut down the govt over the budget fight. Look at Trumps judges and his agenda is obvious.

I wonder if NY and Ca are now reporting for the first time?

Since the number of abortions are up 3.8% over last year and since California and New York are two of the most highly populated states I would say if they were reporting for the first time the percent increase over last year would be much, much higher.

There was nothing in the omnibus spending bill that was just passed that reduced Planned Parenthood funding. Trump signed it.

And the other option was??

He could have done scorched earth but shutting down the government for a full year won't get him re-elected or at least I doubt it. And once he is out, the funding will be doubled, nay tripled.

Early on in the fight, people decided that changing the Supreme Court Judges would be the only way to flip RvW.

One guy decided to take matters into his own hand and kill a baby Killer. The jury decided he was not right to stop the killing of babies and so that route is sure to fail at well.

I'm open to ideas which would actually work - not just complaints with no alternative solution.

Hi IntheLight,
You have to take such numbers with a grain of salt.
PP performs other services besides abortion, so its quite possible that the increased funding it received was due to increases in STD screenings, contraception prescriptions, mammogram referrals, etc..
Lots of women use PP as an alternate provider for OBGYN services, so it doesn't surprise me that they may have received increased reimbursements.

I doubt the increased funding is going for non-abortion services. It's known that about 75% - 80% of Planned Parenthood's funding goes to abortions.
