I dont know where you got your info from but I have never defended the current SBC leadership. In fact any posts I have made about them has not been flattering.

You defend their election by saying the churches dont really know them.

My apologies for not replying to some people in my other thread on the Reformation. I didn't see the posts until after the thread was closed. I'll probably start another thread to answer some of those questions.

If they went to a view of limited inspiration of Bible, and women can now preach and pastor!

Here's what I experienced in seminary before the so-called conservative resurgence: professors rejecting the biblical miracles in favor of natural explanations; denying divine revelation and inspiration, making the Bible only human theological opinion; denying the resurrection itself; teaching liberation theology and social justice rather than the biblical gospel; mocking and shaming in class those who held conservative theological or political views; bringing in numerous liberal speakers to preach in chapel; ridiculing conservative theological books in the school library and requiring reading of only liberal works.... Need I go on?

Hopefully, not though that tongues are the sign of the second act of grace "baptism in Holy Ghost", nor in modern day Apostles and prophets!

Believe in all of it. Apostle and Prophet with a definition much more strict than 99.9% of Charismatics apply.

Do you hold that Apostles and prophets today function in exact same fashion as in the Bible then? That tongues are a sign of that second act of grace?

How would you define what they do then, and what are tongues for?

Its clear in Scripture that there are different gifts of tongues and each gift is for a different purpose. No one could possibly believe the tongues in Acts 2 are the same tongues Paul addressed in the Corinthian assembly.
Thats a total derailment of this thread.

So would you see that one can be gifted to have a tongue for themselves, but we do not have public ones used in worship anymore?
