and the year after and after that. Is this the new seasonal flu? Look at this:

"Dr. Fauci warns coronavirus can come back in 'cycles' and the US needs to be prepared for it to return seasonally

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top expert on infectious disease, on Wednesday warned that the novel coronavirus could come back in "cycles," and urged the US to be prepared.

The virus "very well might" become cyclical and experienced seasonally, Fauci said at the daily White House briefing on coronavirus. "We really need to be prepared for another cycle," he added."....https://www.businessinsider.com/fauci-warns-coronavirus-can-come-back-cycles-us-needs-prepare-2020-3

Only if it has new hosts to infect. Since they are working on vaccines, and treatments, the vaccine if it works will knock it out completely, just like polio and smallpox was stopped.

The Corona virus has evolved into at least two different strains already.
The virus is with us to stay but we will have a vaccine by then and with yearly vaccinations we will likely be on top of things.

Bummer for the anti-vac crowd though.

So does everyone have to get a new vaccine, or will they just add it to the regular flu shot?

The reason you have to get a new flu shot is sometimes its the B strain, sometimes the A strain and I think it slightly mutates from year to year. I would think something similar for a Coronavirus vaccine. I have read though they may be able to create a universal Coronavirus vaccine that works on all varieties of coronavirus including the ones that cause colds. Which would mean one shot and your done for life, unless it turns out you need a booster, and bonus maybe much fewer colds. Some colds are caused by other viruses.

Other thing is all people who recover from this are immune to this strain of coronavirus, including the ones that get antiviral meds. They are working on using recovered patients serum for the antibodies they posses to be used as a treatment for the sick. Much R&D is being put into this that there will be multiple treatments available soon, and definitely after this epidemic is passed by.

I worked 20 years in medical labs including Smithkline Beecham , where I retired early from. I was glad to be able to finally put away all that PPE gear they always made you use, that started up with HIV aids.

Well its a catch-22, if get this strain it can kill you, and if it doesn't then you will be immune next time. But how do you know if you can survive, and worse, around here in South Florida, a lot of those coughing and choking are in denial and wont go get checked.

I am literally holding my breath, as if I wear a mask, everyone heads for the exits if I sneeze to say nothing if I have a catch in my throat and gasp or cough...

I heard they plan to put any coronavirus vaccine into the same flu shot vaccine, so it will be one shot for all.
