The Democrats really need to nominate someone besides Joe Biden.

' After an aide interrupted the interview to say that the former vice president was running short on time, Charlamagne tha God asked that Biden pay the studio a visit the next time he’s in New York.

“It’s a long way until November,” he said. “We’ve got more questions.”

“You’ve got more questions?” Biden replied. “Well, I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” '

Also, why would anyone choose a name like "Charlamagne tha God"? :Thumbsdown

    Great campaign he's running.

In fact, he's testing a new slogan: "If you believe Tara, you ain't a woman." Not sure how that one's gonna go.

It was an outrageous gaffe because it revealed his true thoughts. That’s a no no for all liberals trying to get votes.

    peace to you

What he actually said was "if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” '

The funny part is Joe is right. But for the wrong reason.

If blacks were really voting in their own self interest, they would never vote for a democrat.

He really meant" if you have to debate this, might be going off the Democratic plantation!"

Sounds like he doubled down when he said, “[T]he NAACP’s endorsed me every time I’ve run,” and he wasn’t joking at that point, he was quite serious. It’s condescending and racist, but plays right into identity politics.

BTW, if you don’t have a problem figuring out whether you’re for him or Trump, does that mean you’re black? Asking for a friend…who’s trying to decide if I’m black. :Wink

Joe Biden put his foot in his mouth. I saw him on the news afterwards working on damage control.

But here is the real question - How will the Liberals make excuses for what Veep said?

The same way conservatives make excuses for Trump.

Whats interesting - remember the remark Trump made:
"I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters."

Snopes did a good report on that.

No, no. He's the gift that keeps on giving. This is going to be great entertainment and will only get better as time goes on. The big show will be at the Presidential debate (s), with Ole Joe rambling on all over the place. He had his chance to retire with dignity, but instead decided to go out as a man long past his prime. A sad thing for him and his family, but it was his choice nonetheless.

It’s still a long three months to the convention in August. I am beginning to have doubts that Biden will be the eventual nominee.

You might be right, the Democrats will pull Biden in a heartbeat if they had to. If they don't, Biden will have to choose a black woman as his running mate. A white woman such as Amy Klobachar or Lizzy Warren is out of the question now I think.

Senator Kamala Harris has been at or near the top of the list for VP for a while.

Er, we don't really have to. Trump virtually gaffe-free compared to Biden.

This is not good for Biden. He touted his NAACP endorsements.

NAACP Responds to Joe Biden Comments: We Never Endorsed Him, Or Anyone
    [IMG]
The NAACP responded to Joe Biden’s claim by noting that it had never endorsed him, and that it does not endorse political candidates in an official capacity.

This may go down as one of the greatest gaffes in political history.
