The anti-Semite Deblasio was particularly hateful, and Cuomo was a danger to anyone in a nursing home. To think I almost moved to upstate New York when I was staring out as an adult.

    Whereabouts in the Upstate?

I know of at least one church - that did not stop having services - their auditorium would hold about 50 people. I have attended there a few times - and is usually is full.

And then - our County Executive came out and said he had no problem with churches having services in their building - so we immediately restarted services. and this was before our "wonderful" governor allowed churches to open at very limited attendance.

I was looking to relocate in the Plattsburg-Malone area. NYS is a beautiful place, especially up there in the northern Adirondack area. I got to thinking though that the burden of having New York City as part of the state would result in higher taxes, plus the constant of Democrat leadership. I dodged a bullet by not settling in NY for sure.

I from the Greater Syracuse area. Many of us in Upstate are not excited about NY City. However, to make NY City a separate State - would take an act of Congress. But, what is going on now is to have three Autonomous regions. One would be Long Island, the second would be NY City, and Upstate would be the third. More info here

Okay, I am familiar with the area as I am a truck driver and have been there many times - I just don't like going there in the winter though. (LOL). I am fascinated with all the history up there, especially the time of the late 1600's and 1700's. The great Indian nation, the French and English duking things out - it's all so interesting. My family was in the area at the time, having arrived in Quebec in the middle 1600's. My ancestor was with Samuel Champlain back then, (Olivier LeTardif was his name) he was an interpreter having a knowledge of the native dialects. Interesting stuff for sure.
