Yeah I agree @InTheLight . I just can't believe that neither the Dems or the Reps can put up someone that has sterling character. It seems what passed as character for the Dems died with Bill Clinton. Starting with George W Bush Jr. and progressing through President Trump, character has died with the Reps.

I'm a Populist. I want a domestic policy that supports the hard working and the lowly among us while wanting socially conservative policies. Both parties seem to hate us.

You had a character problem with Bush, McCain, and Romney?

Perhaps you're right, the Reps, who I had joined in 2016 after becoming a Christian, may have started to turn against sterling character in 2016. Then, again from an evangelical perspective Romney is a Mormon, Bush had some real flaws, but I do not want to disrespect McCain much due to His service to the country. However, he was far more moderate than Bush.

I guess I look at the character issue as to whether I would want to be good friends and all three of those men would pass with flying colors with me, regardless of political viewpoint.

Point. This has made me really wonder. What do I consider sterling character? For me, it is having the character of someone that joins my church and is in good standing. I guess I am bemoaning why the Reps and the Dems look so unlike a fundamentalist, especially considering how much we support the Reps on average.

I am also committed to policies that support hardworkers, the lowly, and that understand moral and social issues through the bible.

Thank you. I understand myself better.
