Gotta agree. A friend of mine is very liberal and she doesn’t believe that Big Pharma would lie in order to jack up the price. In reality, it is good that HCQ is so effective. I don’t think that it is being used here in central Indiana. Most people never heard of it. Hopefully, Biden will allow it to be sold over the counter.

It's not really a study to be so very excited about.

1) It's a retrospective case study (one of the weaker study types; they can be rather easy to manipulate and leave many questions unanswered)

2) Only 141 patients were includes in the study - not exactly a huge amount of data!​

The study itself notes:

Hospital physicians are not jumping on board with the chloroquines;
Treatment standardization uses other more trustworthy medications.

So do you think that Biden will allow HCQ to be sold over the counter since the political system makes those decisions?

 

Oh, I forgot about Fauci. He wields power outside if his office simply because no one aspires to be a government doctor. He and Biden must be about the same age.

 

My Guess?
It will never make it past the FDA, even as an over-the-counter drug. There are some fatal consequences for certain susceptible individuals and many adverse side-effects.
Even if by chance it was approved, the drug would never make it past the local pharmaceutical committees that approve the medications to be used in a hospital (I spent a few days in the hospital recently and even some well proven drugs such as my cholesterol medication, Crestor, have not passed the committee).
