    that is unbiblical, when taken to mean "salvation by faith alone, without repentance"!

    John Calvin for supporting the murder of a heretic.

    I have learnt much about Pat Robertson in the last 24 hours. Here was me remembering him form decades ago, as a Southern Baptist pastor, and assumed that he was theologically sound. After looking him up on the Internet, I am shocked by some of the things that he says! Like he does not condemn transgender people, and "that a man should divorce his wife suffering with Alzheimer’s disease and “start all over again” if he is lonely and in need of companionship.". He also rejects the "young earth" teaching of the Bible, etc, etc. This reminds me of one Bart Ehrman, who I was shocked to hear, was once an "evengelical", Bible-believing Christian! Now days he is anything but! Surely these are warnings for those who follow the Lord, and for us to take heed of the words of Jesus, that, "if possible the elect can be deceived"! (Matthew 24:24)

    [Phl 1:27 KJV] 27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

    [Mat 7:15 KJV] 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
    [Mat 24:11 KJV] 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

    [Mar 3:35 KJV] 35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
    [Rom 12:2 KJV] 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what [is] that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

    Yes repenting from sin is needed. The blood of Messiah was just the down payment. Right

    Blessings
