It's just a fools game. We have public figures that have historically spread racism and hate, but all are not "canceled".

Consider Jesse Jackson. Or Al Sharpton. Both of these men are racists. Both have made racist statements against others (whether hispanic, white, or jewish) and one has even acted out his racism against others as a young man.

    Should they be canceled?

I do not believe so. I think that even these racists have something to contribute, something to say.

But we are talking about private businesses. I do not see why they should be forced to allow people to post on their sites or host their media on their platforms.

The 1st Amendment applies to public speech. It does not force people to allow others the use of their property.

Why single him out though, as MANY have made much worse remarks then even him, and they still are allowed on them?

Shareholders are the owners. And anti-trust laws apply. Didn't you learn anything from MCI's anti-trust suit and the divestiture of AT&T?

Good grief. It is no conspiracy to think that COVID-19 will become endemic. Once there is widespread immunity, it will be contracted almost exclusively by children, in whom it is largely (but not entirely) mild. At that point, when folks have immunity, it will be like the cold (which also is endemic): a nuisance and not a killer.

So your conclusion is Twitter cannot restrict groups or people from using their product - that the First Amendment, which would protect groups like BLM and neo-Nazi organizations apply to these companies?

From what I've read, COVID-19 is a Calvinistic plot to rid the world of the "goats" (not the G.O.A.T.s. but the goats amongst the sheep). This is, of course, based on the premise that the virus was constructed in a Genevan garage....and I am not sure this is accurate.

It gets not so simple because you are dealing with regulated band width and monopolies.

I think the key is dealing with monopolies. This is a different age, I guess. We depend too much on these sites (there are businesses that are based primarily on sites like factbook, and it is too easy for Google to condemn a business in its rating system....which too many rely on).

I do the same with dining apps. If they do not have enough stars I go elsewhere. I just do not want to eat sushi at a one star restaurant.

oops.....No, I did not learn anything from MCI's anti-trust suit and the divestiture of AT&T.

Do you believe that Twitter should be forced to allow groups like BLM and Neo-Nazi's to use their platform or be in violation of the First Amendment?
