Racist Statement???

I’ve said this since it became a PC thing. It’s racist & insulting on it’s face. Am I Anglo American? No, I am an American, as are the rest of us. We are all Americans, except for illegals who Biden wants to go to the head of the line. America first! You are more than welcome to come, just do it through proper channels. Keep America as something to aspire to, not trample over. The rest of us follow rules, rules are necessary in a civil society.

 

The problem with McDermott's comment is that Division 1 Universities function similarly to Plantations where they essentially control a student athletes life, make a lot of money off the work of these athletes and merely provide food and education in return. Mcdermott spoke too close to the truth for Creighton's administration to be comfortable. Plus, young African American men will be reminded of our nation's great sin.

I expect G-league and other lower professional leagues will grow as division one basketball diminishes. However, at this time D1 programs get a lot of money while they provide housing, food and a minimal education.

I knew about that. but this whole thing about "racism" these days is nuts! here in the UK there are Pubs that are centuries old, and have names like Black Boy, which now seems to be offensive and needs to be changed!

 

Wow, do you "have fun" living? As someone here remarked on the term "African-American", why saying it in the United States means only Blacks, and not whites, too. After all, whites in Africa are not only descendants of European colonizers, but also Arabs (albeit relatively), Copts, and North African Europeans?

For example, I was very surprised and outraged when Russians in the United States complained about harassment by Negroes and accused them of racism, although in Russia there was never any slavery of Negroes.

We had "serfdom" and its victims were the Russians themselves.

Why is the Latin word black, generally accepted thousands of years ago, worse than the English word black?

 

The phrase itself is not racist. It’s only racist when someone with “white privilege” and too little “intersectionality” uses it.
