    Is it ...?

    * the ten commandments
    * the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Old Testament)
    * the 1,621 or so commands found in the Old Testament
    * the entire Old Testament
    * love the Lord your God with everything you've got and love your neighbor as yourself as Jesus said in
    Matthew 22:37-39

    Text below from this site:

What Does the Bible Say About the Old Testament Law?

The teachings of Jesus, the Council of Jerusalem, and other New Testament teachings (John 1:16-17, Acts 13:39, Romans 2:25-29, 8:1-4, 1 Corinthians 9:19-21, Galatians 2:15-16, Ephesians 2:15) make it clear that Christians are not required to follow the Old Testament rules about crimes and punishments, warfare, slavery, diet, circumcision, animal sacrifices, feast days, Sabbath observance, ritual cleanness, etc.

Christians still look to the Old Testament scripture for moral and spiritual guidance (2 Timothy 3:16-17). But when there seems to be a conflict between Old Testament laws and New Testament principles, we must follow the New Testament because it represents the most recent and most perfect revelation from God (Hebrews 8:13, 2 Corinthians 3:1-18, Galatians 2:15-20).

However, freedom from the Old Testament Law is not a license for Christians to relax their moral standards. The moral and ethical teachings of Jesus and His apostles call for even greater self-discipline than those of the Old Testament (Matthew 5:21-22, 27-28, 31-32, 33-34, 38-42, 43-48, 7:1-5, 15:18-19, 25:37-40, Mark 7:21-23, 12:28-31, Luke 12:15, 1 Corinthians 13:1-13, Galatians 5:19-21, James 1:27, 2:15-16, 1 John 3:17-19).

    Christian Practice
Here are a few examples of Old Testament laws that Christians generally do not observe:

The ten Commandments were in effect before, during, and after the O.T.
    They are still in effect.
Now it is under Christ, not Moses.

So you say the Law means the Ten Cs, nothing else are we to incorporate in our lives as Christians?

Romans 10:4, ". . . For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. . . ."
Galatians 2:21, "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."

So you are saying Christ put an end to the Law, we are under grace, so not under the Law therefore not obligated to obey it any longer, but only love is the fulfilling of the law (Romans 13:10)?

Good point to note. Not the end of the Law, but the end of the Law for, that is, into righteousness. Galatians 2:21 and Romans 3:19, Romans 3:31.

Correct. from Deuteronomy 30 that whole section Romans 10 Who will ascend up into heaven who will come down that was when Moses had finished giving the 2nd giving of the law to the typically redeemed people Israel. In Romans 10 Paul draws on that and points to Christ as the fulfillment of the law points them and he keeps the law 100% perfect on our behalf .
Christ is the end of the law for righteousness.so now in Christ we establish the law then that he he has taken the was requirements and provided salvation by his perfect law keeping on our behalf

    Seeking Christ
The Christ is the end of the Physical Ritual Law, and He is the Beginning of the Spiritual Law of the same Law of Moses, to be enforced. (Rom 10.4)

"if righteousness come by the Law" (Gal 2.21), means if a person righteous according to the Law but not righteous according to his heart, then indeed, Christ died for nothing, because Jesus Christ want our righteousness to come from our soul, and not from the written Law.

Under Christ righteousness became a spiritual quality and not longer just a written commandment.

The 10 commandments are the basis for all law.
The ot.laws were expansions and explanations of the ten.
What are written in the Nt.are expansions of the ten as aspects of the ceremonial and judicial laws were changed or modified.
There is ongoing discussion as to if some aspects of laws before the cross remain.

OK, ongoing discussion so then it is not settled in a general sense.

Let each man be fully convinced in his own mind, then.

So safe at least to say for us today: Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind and then love each other as you would be loved.

Just that is hard enough even with the Holy Spirit's help.

I think your summary to Love God, And Love your neighbor is how Jesus gave a short answer .
He spoke of the ten commandments.
I think it is settled however, just not completely.
I think the idea of each person being persuaded in his own mind is defective.
For example...is abortion murder?....let each person be persuaded in his own mind? ???
    Does not cut it.

I was referring to the Old Testament Law not the issues of today.
It is as if you did not read the OP.
The Old Testament says not to commit murder.
Do you think that I would approve of it just because I thought about it and some people now say the fetus is part of the mother and therefore hers to do with as she believes?
    You cut too close.

"For example...is abortion murder?....let each person be persuaded in his own mind? ???
    Does not cut it."

Does not this cover your question?
"So safe at least to say for us today: Love God with all your heart, soul, and mind and then love each other as you would be loved."

I don't need head help I need heart help.

You are looking for a simple answer.
This issue is not a one sentence answer kind of question.

How can we even do the obligatory without the Spirit of God?
Then why do so many here, including me, easily get ticked off and angry?
    Hard to curb natural behavior.

God is always teaching you this through life.

We get anger from the frustration of not having a immediate solution to a problem.

So I have to learn to trust God, he has a perfect solution for all things. Since God has everything covered I really don't have an excuse to be troubled by anything.

Rather than being "ON GUARD" vs events or troubles that God allows to come in to my life, I need to take Jesus' approach "Father, into Your hands I entrust My spirit.". There is a real peace and rest I deny myself because I don't trust God like I ought to.

Like a parent walking a child, holding their hand. God is in our life, he might drag me a bit here and there, It starts like walk humbly with your God, it ends with walk humbly with your Father.
