Lets see, Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth"; John 1:1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God"; John 11:35, "Jesus wept"; John 8:44, "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.", etc, etc, WHERE is there any ELECTION in these, and THOUSANDS of other verses???

Yet you still have not interacted with them. Is it because you are unable to?

    Hello R1689,
Every view sees symbols in Revelation, they differ in how many and what they mean.
For example, as viewing from a postmillenialism understanding, while I see many symbols that are ot.in origin, I think all of the symbols have a literal understanding.
When you post the more popular view in our day, I know what you mean having become acquainted with that position. I also understand how it locks you in by your hermenutic.
When you are questioned you pull up a response.
Each system offers a response as they should.
I can read Ladd and think that historic view looks good.
When you read Hendrickson, Allis,Waldron, Amillenial ideas seem very plausible.
Ken Gentry, Gary Demar, David Silversides,John Otis , stand their ground from the postmillenialism teaching.
I look to see that the person believes in the second coming then we can go from there.

These Scriptures answer the OP's question.

Rev. 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he who has part in the first resurrection. Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison

The "they" of V4 will be the previous saints who were resurrected, or, if still alive at the time, translated at the rapture. TThose resurrected in this verse will be the trib saints who came to Jesus after the rapture; many will be killed by the antichrist's security & police forces.

But there should be no question about the "millenium". To say it's symbolic is preterist poppycock & totally-false. There's no Scriptural indicator it's symbolic.

They all happened before during the fall of idumea, babylon, and Israel.
    Isa13, Isa34, Joel 2, Acts 2.
They were symbols of Government being fallen and replaced.
They are symbols with a literal meaning.

because ANYONE who thinks that they understand the language in Books like Revelation, Daniel, Ezekiel, especially with Prophecy, are just kidding themselves. If you think that there will be four literal horses flying in the sky, then you should stop watching TV! There is ZERO evidence that says the 1000 years is literal, or otherwise; like the number 666, or the 144k, etc, etc. When you get serious, then I will respond

One heresy begets another. If I reject dispensationalism and the chronological gaps that are clearly and repeatedly revealed in the scriptures, then I would be forced to spiritualize most eschatology.
If I maintain Roman Catholic replacement theology, then I must end up with Roman Catholic amillennialism.

The coming literal, physical, geo-political Jewish millennial kingdom of Jesus Christ from the throne of David in Zion over planet earth is the #1 subject of the Bible. There are more verses about that almost any other 3 subjects combined.

I already knew that, but that would only be true if you take all of those numbers in Rev. 7:4-8 literally. If you can spiritualize whatever numbers and designations you want . . .
