There is nowhere in the bible that mentions Jesus having a wife and children, but there is also nowhere in the bible that say Jesus did NOT have a wife and children either. Does the allegation the Jesus had a wife and children violate any Christian doctrine? What if Jesus really get married and had children, would it affect any doctrine of Christianity.

What if pigs flew and I had a flying pig? Would I need clearance from the FAA and need a flight plan?

The point is...speculation without evidence is hearsay and rumor mongering. It is a pointless and worthless rabbit trail.

you obviously don't know who Jesus Christ really is? The Eternal, Unchanging God, Who for us sinners, "was manifested in the flesh". Your OP is pointless speculation!

Jesus was here for a limited time and he knew that. He spent three years with "no place to lay his head" and earning no income. How would he have cared for a family and been able to the work that he did.

Having a family COMPLETELY clashes with the work of God and as God that he did. His role as Messiah required 100% of his time here on earth - from the age of 12 in the Temple teaching the teachers to his ascension into Heaven as a resurrection Lord.

As Paul said, marriage is a distraction.

Besides, Jesus' bride is the church.

Matthew 25:1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

25:2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

25:3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

25:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

25:6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

25:7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

25:8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

25:10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

25:11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Btw... The OP is in error not knowing scripture!... Brother Glen:)

Besides, was there a spotless bride, a companion suitable to Him?

IF Jesus had children - they more than likely would have been born sinless.

and probably the best answer was found in post # 3

Why does any man get married? There are so many answers to this question.
There is only a few as to why Jesus didn't marry.. Christ is the groom already and we the church are the bride. He has already spoken and chosen His bride. Do you believe He lied about who He intends to marry ?

2 Timothy 2:23, ". . . foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes."

Mark 10:18, ". . . And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God."

What the OP failed to realize is the Lord already has children, (spiritual)... both sons and daughters!... Adopted ones!... Brother Glen:)

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

Btw... To the OP you might start using scripture instead of speculation, foolish speculation is not scripture!

There are groups that believe He married Mary Magdalene and had children and they are descendants. They also deny He died on the cross and was resurrected.

Yes, it’s always dangerous, imo, to begin speculation with “the Bible doesn’t explicitly say or deny ....... (insert heresy here)

For example, the Bible doesn’t explicitly say Jesus didn’t come to the North American continent and witness to ancient Hebrew people, so it could be true.... and so the Morman heresy is born.

    peace to you

I do not believe that Jesus has wife or children, but if it is found out that he has, would it overthrow Christianity?

You mean other than the fact you would have God having a human child that would also necessarily have to have some deity in him?
