I was referring to your second link. India Today I am not sure about, but my feeling is that pressure must have been brought to bear for this decision. The very fact that there is official use of Ivermectin by many countries, here in Mexico, for instance, puts the lie to what your article is implying.

Personally I think people with covid should be able to try medicines whether they work or not, should they choose (as long as there is no danger). We are responsible for our own health.

It all depends on what sources you read.

The pharmaceutical companies that produce Ivermectin for humans say there is no evidence it works and even cautions against using for covid. And they stand to make a lot of money if they said it worked.

But I was really just answering yoyr question about the reason the CDC recommended it for immigrants. It was recommended to treat intestinal parasites (the purpose of the drug).

I do wonder what kind of fear drives people away from vaccines that have been proven effective with rare serious side-effects and to remedies not studied for, designed for, or recommended to treat viral infections. I suspect it is more politics than anything else. There is so much misinformation out there some people just don't know what to believe. There are some who just want natural medicines (something I can respect).

I think unvaccinated people would be better off trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle and taking vitamin instead of being guinea pigs for alternative treatments. The risks are not very high of dying of covid, so perhaps just being healthy would be the best choice if one does not want a vaccine.

That is not how I "find sources". I do not like what the experts I have provided say, but I accept it because they are experts.
