Thanks for the link. The story was, it seems to me, a little to positive. Making me suspicious of propaganda.
Do not get me wrong jonC. I wish it all to be true. Don't mean to be negative on your thread, but the story reads like one bought and paid for. Also I am always suspicious when this is said

That is a signal of propaganda to me. Again I would be delighted to be wrong, and maybe I am.

Why do you see this as too good to be true?

We have seen the same thing in India when they started mass vaccinations a few months ago.

And we have seen this in the US as well. Florida covid rates and deaths have dropped sharply as vaccines have increased.

Same at my site where vaccines are a condition of employment. We lost 16 this year to covud (unvacvinated) but as vaccines increased covid has decreased (to the point we are approaching the standard where we can ditch masks).

But in the states with lower vaccination rates covid cases have continued to climb.


Maybe all of this is coincidence, but I doubt it.

Lol.....so his conclusion is the vaccine has worked for Brazil, he had his wife vaccinated, therefore he does not need the vaccine. How hypocritical.

No. Natural immunity has proven to be ineffective. But someone (I think @Reynolds ?) posted that surviving covid and being vaccinated is reported to provide the best level of immunity.

We do know the long term effects of the vaccine. There is no reason to think a vaccine somehow has magical properties so that it effects the body long after it has been destroyed. Same with all vaccines. It's science, not magic.

The "oh....but...the long term effects" came into play when the vaccine proved effective with rare serious side-effects. It was Democrat propaganda about the "Trump vaccines". Now it's the anti-covid-vaxer catch all.
