One common phrase, found in about 13 verses is "through or by faith." "Through translates the Greek preposition "dia" and when used to show instrumentality, can be translated as "by means of" or "by way of" when "faith" is in the "genitive" case.

Romans 4 teaches God credits our faith as righteousness for our benefit. Thus the phrase indicates God uses the "faith" path in bestowing His blessing upon a person or people. Thus a less encrypted version of the phrase is "by way of your credited faith."

To claim God bestows His blessings using the way of uncredited faith is a denial of the obvious. To claim God bestows His blessings "not through or not by way of credited faith" reflects a liberal rewrite of scripture.

God set forth Christ Jesus as the means of reconciliation by way of your credited faith in His blood, to demonstrate God's righteousness because God withheld the penalty for our previously committed sins.

Here God uses the "faith path" to bestow reconciliation upon guilty sinners.

since indeed God who will justify the Jewish circumcised based on their credited faith and the Gentile uncircumcised by way of their credited faith is undivided and consistent.

Here God uses the "faith path" to bestow justification upon Jews and Gentiles alike.

Then are we nullifying the Law by way of your credited faith? May it never be! Rather, we are sustaining the Law.

Here God uses the "faith path" to sustain the Law.

and since children, enjoyers also, enjoyers of God's blessings and fellow enjoyers of the blessings provided by Christ, indeed because we suffered with Him, we will also be glorified together with Him.

Here the conditional "if" is translated "since," removing any suggestion of loss of salvation. And as born anew children of God, we were baptized into Christ's death, thus have "suffered with Him" and accordingly will, at His second coming be bodily gloried when we unite with Him in the air.

so that Christ may dwell in your hearts by way of your credited faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

Here we see a bumper crop of God's blessings being bestowed upon those whose faith has been credited as righteousness by God. First in the list is being sealed within Christ with the Spirit of Christ. Next, those placed into Christ are made firm in Christ which includes being rooted and grounded in His love, such that we have an intimate knowledge of Christ's glorious love which goes beyond acknowledgement and becomes the controlling influence of our lives.

Here we see an aspect of our faith in Christ, a trust in God's supernatural power to accomplish all He promises.

so that you will not be sluggish, but imitators of those who by way of their credited faith and steadfast commitment obtain the promises.

Here we see fellow believers provide our example those born anew - those who obtain the promises - they walk the talk and are not lip service outliers.

Here we see that OT Saints accomplished God's purpose and obtained promises by way of their credited faith. However, they did not receive the promise of being made perfect until after Christ died. (Hebrews 11:39-40)

Another concept that suffers from encryption is being made righteous. As sinners, we are unrighteous and unholy, thus separated from God. Some translation by their translation choice suggest sinners are declared righteous by God, rather than made righteous by the blood of Christ.

Another aspect of this false doctrine is the idea that when God credits our faith as righteousness to us, that makes us righteous. (Romans 4:6). However, only our faith, and not us, is declared or reckoned as righteousness. In other words, God considers our worthless faith as meeting His requirement for faith in Christ. We know from Matthew 13 that superficial faith (without root) does not result in salvation. We know from James 2 that credited faith includes love of God.

and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ,

In yet another example of encryption, consider the intended meanings of the Greek words translated as "body" and as "flesh."

One of the meanings of the Greek word translated "body" is the shadow or result or consequence of something, rather than the thing itself. For example the "body of Christ's flesh" (His sacrifice) removes the "body of our flesh" our sin's consequences. Likewise the Greek word translated "flesh" is used metaphorically to refer to sin and its consequences.

This is parallel to the removal, the setting aside, of the certificate of indebtedness against us, i.e. nailing it to the cross. (Colossians 2:14)

also in union with Christ you were circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands, the removal of the consequence of your sins, past, present and future by the circumcision of Christ,

Here we see the Greek word usually translated "body" and the Greek word usually translated "flesh" contextually translated as referring to being made eternally righteous.

If we consider the Greek New Testament as the "plaintext" and our English translation as the "ciphertext" would we find examples of encryption? In WWII the Allies changed the names of Greenland and Iceland to confuse the enemy. In the NT we have two different places (Gehenna and Hades) changed to one name (Hell) in some translations. We get different Greek words translated into the same English word and the same Greek word meaning translated into several different English words or phrases.

And while some of these encryptions might be necessary, they could be reduced using modern digital technology.

The question is: What is the hold-up? In our current "supply chain problem" some blame the powerful unions who prevent improved efficiency to protect jobs. Or some software creators leave bugs so as to ensure future work. 2.0 anyone?

    Hades encrypted as "hell" ten times - Matthew 11:23 and 16:18, Luke 10:15 and 16:23, Acts 2:27 and 2:31, Revelations 1:18, 6:8, 20:13 and 20:14.
