All I can tell you is what a missionary I know told me. He said they are never hindered in Russia. He said they strongly frown on the importation of Bibles and will hassle you hard if you do it. He said that he later found out why. It's not about religion but about money. More Bibles are printed in Russia than any other country and they are protecting their industry, not stopping Bibles.

That is not what my Evangelical Christian-Baptist Brethren and friends say. I posted a news story about a House of Prayer and her congregation in Arkhangelsk last year. It also depends on if the church is registered or not.I also understand that the Russian baptist church is not hassled/persecuted in Russia and has the freedom to preach.
