Adam Greenway compares modern conservative Southern Baptists to segregationists.

The President of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS) attacked conservatives in a tweet linking contemporary conservative views of racial reconciliation with 1960s era segregationists.

Greenway attacked conservatives after conservative pastors urged racial reconciliation Sunday place the focus on Jesus instead of Critical Race Theory. Greenway tweeted his partisan, Leftist attack following the Conservative Baptist Network quoting two black Southern Baptists urging reconciliation be found in Jesus and not false ideologies like CRT.

Greenway said, “For those SBC’ers who follow the denominational calendar (a strictly voluntary—not compulsory—matter), today is Racial Reconciliation Sunday. The emphasis itself is hardly a new one, but some of the present reactions to it seem to mirror those from a much earlier time period.”

Back in the early 70's there was a group called "Conservative Fellowship of Southern Baptists" or something similar. (Does anyone remember the exact name?) I remember my pastor had given me their quarterly magazine. (Knowing me - I probally still have it somewhere)

You seem to not acknowledge what I said, which expresses a lack of interest.

I liked one line from the movie "Pride and Prejudice" which may have come from the book - it was " I would have more easily forgiven his vanity, if he had not damaged mine." That, I think, is profound. The inability to forgive arises from pride, not humility.
God gives grace to the humble, but opposes the proud.

A difficulty arises from the sequence given in scripture because it seems to say "if you do the work of forgiveness, then I will as a consequence forgive you." (Matthew 6:14-15) My view differs, when I give you the grace of salvation, including forgiveness, I have determined your heart felt sacrificial love toward others, which includes a willingness to forgive and forget. Thus the evidence of faithfulness will be present in those chosen based on faith and devotion.
