If they did, it would spawn an industry designed to bypass the device. Additionally, if the device malfunctions, it could cause folks to be stranded… late for work… unable to take loved ones to emergency rooms delaying care…. etc.

No, I don’t think we need a new law.

    peace to you

    Couple things

You are presume guilty - NOT GOOD

Just like when LEO came out with Radar -
Business (probably the same one who made the Radar) came out with radar detectors.

and now, police had a RDD - A police officer can detect the presence of a radar detector in your car by using a radar detector detector!

To solve the problem ALL vehicles where a person is declared in a court of law...A DUI that caused bodily harm or repeated DUI's... Those should be installed!... Not guilty!... No problem!... I have been driving over 50 years, NEVER had a DUI... Obey the law and you won't... Brother Glen:)

So are you saying that the only vehicles that should have it are those convicted of DWI - - NOT all Vehicles.

Alcohol detectors on ALL vehicles is insane. I think alcohol detectors on any vehicle is actually insane. Just make second offense DUI a mandatory 20 year incarceration with no parole.

That is what I say but I don't write the laws... Why punish those who abide by it?... Is it really a safety measure?... Will it really be the populace that has to vote on it?... Or will what happens, happen no matter what we say?... I go with the latter... Brother Glen:)

When a few politicians want to push a law - dont be surprise if they pass it at 3 am.
