    Gods standard is perfection.

Unless you meet that standard. By your own you have failed to meet Gods standard.

I pray you stop being like the pharisee and boasting of how great you are. and start becoming like the sinner, who knew where he came from, and knows where he is going,, and is focused on loving others. not how great he is.

Lay hands suddenly on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure. - 1 Timothy 5:22

Was your Baptist work colleague openly joining in orgies and fornication? Did she share that with you?

Does this mean you consider yourself to have reached sinless perfection?

We who are a part of the New Covenant all can state "I am sanctified, forgiven, and have inheritance through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ." It does not make us sinlessly perfect. It means that sanctification is a lifelong process before God sets us before Him and gives us glorification.

Do you consider yourself to have reached sinless perfection?

Her talk of her old ex-boyfriend would have indicated that.

1 John 1: 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

All men have a sin nature... They got it from Adam... Brother Glen:)

I have the feeling of sinless perfection when I am filled with the Holy Spirit. Get out of the Spirit and into the flesh then I can no longer claim that.

Feelings are fickle and the heart is desperately wicked, who can know it.

I must say here I am not talking denomination but generation...

An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas: - Matthew 12:39

    In which case we must...

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: - Colossians 1:26-28

There would of been no need for me to threaten anyone's salvation in past generations. But we live in one that tests the virtues and holiness of God.

Her name is (snip) and I wish her well. Hoping she finds the man of her dreams and wishing her the best. Belittle me all you want I don't care. Get hooked up with the wrong person and things can go horribly wrong.

John Calvin would have done me in like he did Michael Servetus.

    What does Christ think…

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. - Matthew 5

The sermon on the Mount is fascinating. Jesus provides the beatitudes that come to the redeemed and then he spend the rest of the sermon telling his listeners that they cannot be redeemed by their own works.
Do you imagine your works save you?

“Evangelion” (that we call the gospel) is a Greek word, and signifies good, merry, glad and joyful tidings, that makes a man’s heart glad, and makes him sing, dance and leap for joy. - William Tyndale

Works… “If we look externally, there is difference between washing dishes and preaching the Word of God, but as touching to please God, there is no difference at all. That’s a biblical view of work, that there’s no difference when done to the honor of the Lord between preaching and washing the dishes.” - William Tyndale
