Bateman has 20 wives - as he is a member of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why should he be arrested? Dont liberals believe that they should have their own choice - when it comes to marriage?

Would trading him for Griner have been an even trade?

Apparently, it was some pretty ugly stuff including some of the "wives" being underage [nine of them] and trafficked across state lines by three of the "adult" wives. This is usually how the fundamentalist branch of the Mormons goes.

Polygamist leader and 'self-proclaimed prophet' had 20 wives, including minors, affidavit alleges - ABC News (go.com)

I'm probably coming back to the BB after Easter. I just needed a good break from social media.

I’ve been thinking the same thing after being unable to avoid all ‘Sister Wives’ commercials it reveals that the ‘wives’ are not legal, but ‘spiritual’ so they don’t have that pesky divorce to deal with, they just declare it. That would allow all of their kids to qualify for government assistance having a single mom would it not? Sounds about right….we’re paying for their choice…..plus they all get paid well to have their own show……on illegal marriage, which is really not illegal because they are really not married. The show, a woke push for any lifestyle must be normalized & accepted.

You've pointed out the clear lack of logic in Liberal's Disney-influenced views of marriage when they claim marriage is all "love".

If "love" is all it takes for marriage then I can love my dog, a tree, my car, my several "wives", etc. However, for Liberals to admit this they would need to have integrity, which is sadly lacking in their circles.
