Right now best practices is foam. Foam is bad on the environment and causes health risk to those using it.

Firefighters have been using foam for my whole life so it apparently is not that "bad" for firefighters, and the environment. Yes there are health and environmental issues, see Firefighting foam - Wikipedia
but the problems are being addressed. No need to attack BEV's, and not mention the uses of foam for other fires is widespread already.

We were trained on foam when I was in fire dept. I will trust the manufacturers warnings.
