The unemployment rate, which is calculated from a separate survey of households, rose from 3.5% to 3.8%, highest since February 2022, the Labor Department said.

Is Biden taking credit for that?

Asking for a friend .....

Do you realize that historically full employment has been considered to be unemployment at 4% and below? Actually, I remember a number of years ago that it was said that full employment should be considered to be with unemployment at 5% and below. I would think that due to the increased mobility of American workers in switching jobs, that 5% unemployment and below would be the more realistic target for full employment.

Part of the increase could be the actors strike
Personally, I dont think a strike should be considered un-employed
But - bottom line - the % did go up!

The whole concept of tracking unemployment as a measure of economic health has be corrupted. Back when I first heard unemployment at or below 4% was "full employment" they measured and reported the number one way. When the godless left got control of government, the way of measurement was altered, you fiddle with the number by removing those unemployed but not seeking employment. And of course that number is dependent on subjective analysis.

We, the voters, can no longer rely on Government figures, as they cook the books, while they destroy representative democracy.

That goes for any stat for any purpose.
IE - a poll could say that 60% approve Biden as POTUS
but did they mentioned that they only polled enrolled Democrats?

So it is imperative that we are told all the details in polling results.

Or if a poll would say that 60% approve of Trump, but did not mention that they only polled Republicans.

Personally, I think the unemployment rate is too low and the Economy is still suffering inflationary overheating from the HUGE CASH INPUT during COVID. Where I work we loose 3 of 25 people every month to A/E firms swapping employees as recruiters lure them from one company to another. We are currently short 4 employees … they just are not available to hire.

With all of the intervention that government at all levels places on the economy, there are bound to be huge distortions in the economy from the optimum conditions that the free market would provide.

Command economy worked so well in the Soviet Union that maybe we should try it? ;)

Unfortunately, the United States has been using a command economy more and more and MORE for almost 130 years, after President Grover Cleveland left office.

Any stat could arise from "cooked books" but not all stats are unreliable. One method to put believers in physiological cells, isolated from others due to mistrust, is to claim the side of light is as dark as the dark side.

But I certainly agree that we need sufficient information to evaluate claims, like "no one believes as you do." To me that sort of claim is like something an intellectually challenged middle school bully might shout.

I used to work in the real world, where a tank either had water in it, or it didn't. The level indicator might have been wrong, but I accepted its reading until shown wrong. Presumption of innocence is a fundamental biblical principle.
