By a vote of 216-210, today the U.S. House of Representatives, in a rebellion led by U.S. Representative Matt Gaetz against Speaker Kevin McCarthy, voted to vacate the Speaker's position for the first time since the U.S. Constitution went into effect.

The speaker did not keep the agreement he agreed to in becoming speaker.

Well, the next thing they did was to close the House of Representatives for a week. It's not like there is another spending deadline in a little over 6 weeks to meet.

If I had to guess right now, my guess would be U.S. Representative Tom Emmer of Minnesota's 6th district.
