Revised measurements for the age of the universe.

Yeah, I know.
When I was in school, there were 7 proofs from scientific research that proved the Universe at 4.7 billion years.
So, what does that tell ya?
That I went to school a lot longer time ago than you thought.
A long time ago.
And when that theory does not work, it will get estimated at 72 billion.
We waste our time (pun intended) trying to determine the age of the earth. The discussion is about temporal matters that are meaningless to inheriting eternal life. If an unsaved person rejects Christianity because some Christian doesn't hold to an ancient earth, that same person, even if proved right by God, would still find an excuse to reject God. Until a person confesses their sins, repents of their evil, and receives grace from the Spirit of God, they will not have peace.

The Bible clearly shows us that our inheriting eternal life is important to God, but the Bible also clearly shows us that there are many other things that are important to God—including Chronology and what happened when. However, we need not waste time trying to determine the age of the earth because the age of the earth has been very carefully measured and found to be 4.54 billion years.
