I was baptized in a Landmark practice independent Baptist church. From the bible's warning, Revelation 2 and 3 shows the churches were compromising with their faith and allowing false teachings into the church. That set the precedent for the Catholic and the state church to absorb in those compromised churches. As time went on more heresy was brought into the RCC and evident in the holidays such as the Easter (fertility goddess), Christmas and more. If the Landmark doctrine is true the landmark Baptist churches would abstain from all holidays. God is a jealous God and have the right to be jealous because God created mankind for His glory. Worshipping false God deprives God's glory including holidays. The landmark Baptist church I was baptized at are very arrogant, thinking that they will judge the world as they believe that they are the bride of Christ. That is impossible since they robbed God's glory with their arrogance and their participating in pagan festivals and hold on to the traditions of their ancestors (Mark 7:9, Matthew 10:37).
